Just called out TM and agreed to upgrade from 50Mbps to 100Mbps with additional RM10 per month. As confirmed, the price will remain the same after 24 months contract. For the equipment (ONU & router), they would switch you for a better unit if your existing unit cannot support the higher speed package.

Mine was initially RM199 30Mbps, with free thank you surprise upgraded to 50Mbps. Earlier i have the same thought the price will revert back to RRP, so i asked them few times throughout the conversation just to confirm that the price will remain the same after contract and they said yes. The permanent price is only valid for existing user. New user will be different story (i.e Price revert back to RRP after 24 months). Only add in another RM10 per month from 50 to 100, I just proceed with the upgrade. thumbsup.gif

You may try your luck calling them. Just tell them u received news regarding this upgrade and they will check their system whether you are eligible. In my opinion it could be first come first serve offer.

Speedtest still shows my speed hasn't upgrade yet despite the email i just received.

Just made a visit to TM point this afternoon. Apparently their system stated that I'm not eligible for the RM10 upgrade while TM 100 CS said otherwise and confirmed the upgrade which takes 7 working days. It has been 5 days. Will see how thing goes.

Just received my upgrade. I did follow up my report earlier this afternoon through live chat after coming back from TM Point. That might just accelerated the process rclxm9.gif

Correct me if i'm wrong. From my understanding, when we do speedtest to East Malaysia server, the connection will go through West Malaysia (TM main server) first before it goes back to the speedtest target on East Malaysia, thus results in higher ping compared to when we do speedtest directly to West Malaysia servers.

And regarding the IP ranges and locations, since i upgraded to UniFi, so far i'm getting similar performance unlike what streamyx does. Stable most of the time, avg 27ms ping. I'm from Miri, Sarawak btw.
