KLIA's Pusat Mel & Courier Pos Malaysia 03-8787 2020.
If your parcel is at other in-charged department, then the friendly officer will direct you with another line maybe like 03-8787 1122 extension 314 or 315 for International Enquiry.
No worries! =))

Yeah, try it out, if they said cannot help without tracking number, then maybe can ask them, what should you do and maybe they could give you advice. They are mostly friendly and helpful! No worries ya! ^^

Is digital video camera still tax free? I can't seem to access the tax rate details on custom website provided by thread starter.

Thanks

Cameras are duty-free in Malaysia and no need approval. You are free to import it.

Can some one enlighten me why recently I bought an LCD monitor (not exactly a complete set), it comes with LCD panel, circuit, invertor got 10% tax? total CIF value is around RM 350++. I understood anything below RM 500 (CIF) is tax free except, liquor, ciggy etc.

Paid to DHL upon delivery to me and dont have a chance to speak directly to the custom officer.

I got the official receipt also from custom. should i wrote a complaint to them?

They charge you for Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) approval. Television and projection are required ST approval.

if that's the case then why I asked custom thru email they didnt mentioned anything on that? it looks like there's a missing link between ST and custom.

and some more previously I have imported a lot of battery charger which use the 110-240V outlet. No problem so far, no ST approval and no tax. Was it because of its CIFC value which only worth <RM 50?

^ should be Custom first then only mail centre. But these 2 entities are located in the same building, probably sharing the same warehouse as well. So there isn't really a fine line between Custom and Malaysian Post.

Hi, I've a question. Will the item shipped from east malaysisa (Sabah or Sarawak) to west malaysia will be held by kastam if the declared value exceed RM500? Or no kastam check at all? Thank you.
