I did, but mine was to Tokyo from Kul. They don't have Sales often, but even if they do, the price difference is approximately RM200-300 difference per pax. Its not as low as to go half price.

When I bought my tix, it was under JAL but the flight from KL to Tokyo was operated by MAS. So i flew with MAS to Tokyo, and return by JAL flight. Don't be surprised if this happens.

yeah, I'm aware of that, due to code share & both are under oneworld alliance

btw, for JAL, if transit at Tokyo, but need to change airport, Narita to Haneda, is the transportation to the diff airport included? or we need to makan sendiri?
Luggage need to self pick-up and check-in again? fly-thru?
I understand if it's under separate bookings then we need to makan sendiri, but if under same single booking?

Why transit at Tokyo? Where are you flying to...? Thought you're going Tokyo right? lol

Haneda and Narita are in different area, it's not like KLIA and KLIA2. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to get from either one to the other. You can take the Narita Skyaccess, 1 train every 40min. So you need to estimate 3-3.5 hours for the transit.

Optionally, you can also take the airport bus to transfer.
https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/bus_servi...eda/narita.html

I'm not too sure about your luggage but since its 2 different airport, its very likely that you have to collect your luggage then check-in again in Haneda and drop your luggage with them. But do more research, perhaps there's an option to transfer your luggage directly without the need of you collecting it at Narita.

sifus, if i plan a 7/8 nights to Kansai region, how many nights should i plan for Osaka and Kyoto? The rest like Kobe or Nara, I will just do day trip. Not really keen to change too many hotels.

Is early October a good time? I like to go later in the year but it gets too expensive sad.gif

Btw KIX to Osaka takes how long journey?

Nope, not going to Tokyo, not really interested in Metro area, planning to go to Hokkaido for white Christmas

Looking at JAL tix now, seems to be the cheapest among the full service airlines, but they don't have direct KUL - Sapporo.
all need to stop-over in Tokyo to change flights, and the cheaper flights are from different airports in Tokyo.
Since both airports are pretty far in between, and not really worth the hassles of extra transit time, I'll stick to the same airport transit then, and pay the extra.

I believe JAL has a flight with a transit in Kansai International. Last I checked, not much difference in prices between transiting there compared with Narita/Haneda.

i would suggest 3 days in osaka and 5 days in kyoto as kyoto offers more sightseeings

kobe or nara can do day trip either from osaka or kyoto

oct is good...but if you go late nov can catch koyo...

I'm sure you will go few days before so if u r looking for certain Doujinshi from certain artist, get the guidebook from any manga shop in akiba. The guidebook contains the map. For limited edition Doujinshi u probably have to go overnight outside and queue with everyone else.

If u just wan to experience go around 10.30 as the queue move faster already. Bring bottle of water if u going whole day, the 7-11 there will be super crowded.

All cosplay will be held outdoor at many different locations, day 1 and day 2 is normal cosplay and day 3 is more sexy cosplay like bikini type n so on. Please queue if u wan take photos, dun take it from the side as it is very rude. There is one thing u can ask from cosplayers which is their name card. I like to collect those, just ask them "meishi ga arimasu ka?"

Entrance is free so just get in there and enjoy, there's two buildings so it's quite a long walk. First timer would probably get lost inside so if tht happens just look out for staff tht wear comiket shirt, they r everywhere and helpful.

I did the JAL flight from KUL-CTS via NRT/HND last year. Yes, you will need to collect your luggage and pay 3000JPY to transit from NRT to HND on your own expenses.

Rather unfortunate that they didn't offer direct flight to HND instead, as the connection time in NRT to CTS is quite terrible. Otherwise, I think they are one of the best airlines out there. thumbup.gif

hakone autumn leaves is very pretty and during autumn there will be events at night which can b pretty fun (do check the events calander). usual day it can b quite boring as there's nothing to do at all at night so one day trip is sufficient. and ya the ryokan in hakone is very expensive, they all come wit japanese style dinner.

I feel like trying out one night at expensive ryokan during autumn biggrin.gif

Anyone here got recommendations? The "japanese style dinner" I keep reading about is referred to as "kaiseki"? Or no...?

You need to decide where and what you want to do first lah... Osaka 1 day oso can, Kyoto 1 day oso can, depends on what you want to visit. If you don't want to change hotel, then you just stay in Osaka and do 1-day trips to other places - 1 day 1 city biggrin.gif Can add Hiroshima / Miyajima / Mt. Koya to your list.
