Nope, not going to Tokyo, not really interested in Metro area, planning to go to Hokkaido for white Christmas
Looking at JAL tix now, seems to be the cheapest among the full service airlines, but they don't have direct KUL - Sapporo.
all need to stop-over in Tokyo to change flights, and the cheaper flights are from different airports in Tokyo.
Since both airports are pretty far in between, and not really worth the hassles of extra transit time, I'll stick to the same airport transit then, and pay the extra.
I did the JAL flight from KUL-CTS via NRT/HND last year. Yes, you will need to collect your luggage and pay 3000JPY to transit from NRT to HND on your own expenses.Looking at JAL tix now, seems to be the cheapest among the full service airlines, but they don't have direct KUL - Sapporo.

Rather unfortunate that they didn't offer direct flight to HND instead, as the connection time in NRT to CTS is quite terrible. Otherwise, I think they are one of the best airlines out there.
