QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Jun 21 2017, 12:30 PM) I think its reasonable/ average price. Even AA with layover will cost you ard RM2,300 (exclusive baggage, lunch etc). yeah, AA ain't much cheaper if added in the meals, luggage & seat selection also from my previous few long distance travelling with AAX (>6 hours flights), I really having hard time getting a good sleep with their narrow chairs, and their meals quality getting worse... not to mention when you're travelling with kids might as well add in a little bit for a full service airlines for more comfortable travelling those booked with JAL before, any idea how frequent they have sales/offers? QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Jun 21 2017, 02:28 PM) I did, but mine was to Tokyo from Kul. They don't have Sales often, but even if they do, the price difference is approximately RM200-300 difference per pax. Its not as low as to go half price. yeah, I'm aware of that, due to code share & both are under oneworld allianceWhen I bought my tix, it was under JAL but the flight from KL to Tokyo was operated by MAS. So i flew with MAS to Tokyo, and return by JAL flight. Don't be surprised if this happens. btw, for JAL, if transit at Tokyo, but need to change airport, Narita to Haneda, is the transportation to the diff airport included? or we need to makan sendiri? Luggage need to self pick-up and check-in again? fly-thru? I understand if it's under separate bookings then we need to makan sendiri, but if under same single booking? |

QUOTE(sweet_pez @ Jun 22 2017, 10:07 AM) Why transit at Tokyo? Where are you flying to...? Thought you're going Tokyo right? lol Nope, not going to Tokyo, not really interested in Metro area, planning to go to Hokkaido for white ChristmasHaneda and Narita are in different area, it's not like KLIA and KLIA2. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to get from either one to the other. You can take the Narita Skyaccess, 1 train every 40min. So you need to estimate 3-3.5 hours for the transit. Optionally, you can also take the airport bus to transfer. https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/bus_servi...eda/narita.html I'm not too sure about your luggage but since its 2 different airport, its very likely that you have to collect your luggage then check-in again in Haneda and drop your luggage with them. But do more research, perhaps there's an option to transfer your luggage directly without the need of you collecting it at Narita. Looking at JAL tix now, seems to be the cheapest among the full service airlines, but they don't have direct KUL - Sapporo. all need to stop-over in Tokyo to change flights, and the cheaper flights are from different airports in Tokyo. Since both airports are pretty far in between, and not really worth the hassles of extra transit time, I'll stick to the same airport transit then, and pay the extra. |

QUOTE(SkyX @ Jun 23 2017, 05:31 PM) I did the JAL flight from KUL-CTS via NRT/HND last year. Yes, you will need to collect your luggage and pay 3000JPY to transit from NRT to HND on your own expenses. thanks mate, great info indeedRather unfortunate that they didn't offer direct flight to HND instead, as the connection time in NRT to CTS is quite terrible. Otherwise, I think they are one of the best airlines out there. 3000JPY per pax ah? mine is 4pax means 12000JPY lor... plus the luggage & waiting time, aint worth it |
