Flashpod it face, dun let it return to lair xD

Normally won't try to hunt / capture a monster in (at your own pace) expedition mode, the monster will leave the map after a while ... at any one time, they say only 3 big monsters are in the map; one leave, another enter.

Select Optional (can be repeated), or Investigation Quests (don't worry about the seemingly limited number, new ones will keep appearing until you've to delete less rewarding ones) if you really wanna slay or capture the monster ... if just testing without hoping to get the monster, up to you which quest mode lor.

(btw, after you proceed to high rank, on some storyline quests to research monsters' tracks, don't be like me and go on expedition mode thinking that the tracks should be easier to find without time limit, will waste time only .... in actuality, Investigation Quests mode is better, even if you didn't find any tracks, the research progress will increase bit by bit when you completed the quests.)

I tried Investigation Quests for a few times but it'll automatically back to the camp site once completed the said quest. Maybe I should just re-register certain Investigations and hunt monster from there.

Upon completing Investigation Quests, will I get leveled up? Currently at HR8 and my Palico at Level16. My kitten is higher rank than me.

Addendum: As for the Flashpod, I have to press L2 aim at the front of the monster (hoping the monster will see at that direction) and press R2 to shoot right? It's not aiming directly at the monster, right?

The purpose of investigation quest is for u to hunt monster that u want for materials and stuffs like that. And investigation quest nets u more rewards compared to optional/assigned/expedition quest. The more gold slots the investigation have, the more rarer the rewards u can get after a completed quest.

You go back to camp side after the quest is completed because u did not choose to go back to HQ. U can choose either go back to HQ or stay back during that 20/60 sec end quest time after u have completed the quest successfully by pressing R3. The reason the option is there is because some people want to farm the same monster from the same map using the same quest. After the quest is completed and u stay back at the camp, u can post the same quest again by speaking the handler so that you don't have to reload the whole map all over again. It's much quicker and efficient compared to go back to HQ and post the same quest again.

Do not bother about leveling up until you have completed the story mode. The level up system don't mean a thing in this game so do not bother about that. Focus on improving your skill, crafting the armor u want and keep on progressing the story.

And about flashpod, you are correct. Just aim at the direction of the monster that it is facing, don't have to be directly at the monster.

I from HR15 jump to HR32 after kill the final boss of the main story

but HP and Stamina pun 100 hahaha. HR is only use for higher rank investigation/optional quest.

yeah, I initially got MHW with aim to play solo only. my network NAT issue was just resolved this week thus could test some online session play.

Did 2 quest with link88 yesterday (re-enactment of Diablos horn farm) and he can confirm how out of sync I am since hiatus after MH3U.

will see you online I’m sure but I’ll just follow casually to support quest. No voice chat and getting a little old for this ...

Guys......I just started playing MHW last 2 wks ago and now stand at HR12......need to fight Nergigante.....1 thing I don't understand about investigation....

How to unlock more investigation quest? Till now I still don't have the 6* Hunting Anjanath quest but already unlock few 7* investigation quest......

What is the thing that trigger those investigation quest to be unlock?

Need some friend to hunt together......Also how you mute others playing that speaking in the channel?

dunno about the hunts cause im noob. but for the mute. what i do is open a party chat (make it private). this way no other players voice comes through. so annoying as many times its static or people talking to their family etc...

you'll need to collect the monster tracks to unlock the investigation
usually similar tier monster investigation will unlock from collecting the similar monster, but it's still pretty random
Collect more Anjanath tracks, you'll unlock it eventually

The investigation quests are bucket full. I have a hard time completing all. Some investigation quests (same ones) have like 5 or up to 8 times that you can complete it.

Bonkers! Is it one of those Monster Hunter series game mechanics?

LOL, those investigation are just optional, it's there for you to farm mats & zennies
you can just delete those "boring" or unrewarding one, you don't need to do all of them
again, you're playing MH wrong

how to jump to HR32 directly without complete the HR29 to kill two tempered Bazelgeuse main quest?

FYI, augmented fully upgraded R6 armor piece can have more defense compared to augmented fully upgraded R7, R8 armor piece

so don't assume it's lower grade armor than R8 then it's not worth the upgrade.

Looks like I have to defeat Legiana a few times to get some of the material required for the armour set. Hopefully can kill her a few times this coming weekend.

just search the SOS quests from random players. last night did one. tapao legiana in like 10 min with full team

The best SoS team I have is last night tempered kush. 4 ranged. Kushala never move from the the first spot we attacked him for full 6 minutes till he die. 30 flashbang chain.

alright. if beat him first time solo then ok lor. then after that hentam with team to farm. but if dont want then try to capture instead of kill. just learned last night will get many more resources. i need to pack some shock trap and sleeping bomb or whatetver its called
