Well, that guy probably need to use heavy. Previous mh, I use only 3 weapons, lance with shield, and both light and heavy bowgun. Kinda interested in that bug lance. Oh I so wish that mh combat is as fluid as dragon dogma.

If word. you may need a bigger screen. If world - map area, be grateful its small. Chasing escaping monster is not fun, not fun at all. We do need ign list at page 1 though.

Mh story quest purposely give you limit to your weapon power to ensure you learn the mechanic and what not to do. That big sword is 1-2 hit combo , dodge and run blade. Worry not, you will learn the art of dodging sooner or later. Farm flashbang for easy life. I am too still rusty after years not playing.

Another tip, keep your stamina in tip top. Farm meat if u must.

Well, if you played fallout series, manual save will be ingrained into you. Done with area, save. Done killing hard mob, save. Done with cutscene / upgrade, save. 3 minutes exploration? fastsave

Another PSA for those who like multiplayer SoS mission, keep your health full or higher than everyone else, monster tend to target lowest hp char even though you are far away or trying to heal yourself. for easier life, capture monster. For lbg user, 3 recoil dampener is heaven.

A tip, you can do expedition / optional quest, but only to break the horn, after breaking it, go back. It's faster than killing it.

I hope later down the road, we can have new addition of monster like Tempered Elder flying Lightning deviljho. Probably will be the fight of lifetime.

Well, bring everything you need. Extra poo, extra flashbug, extra ammo, extra bomb, tranq bomb, trap, might and def juice, max hp pill, poison pill, nulberry etc. If u can capture, do it. Faster that way.

in any case, do not fight tempered mob with multi scale hp alone. I've done that and regret it. 45 minutes of wasted time to kill b52. They abandoned me...

Be well prepared really help. Extra mega bomb for when the monster sleeping(put near its head) for double dmg, extra flashbang, trap and such. For lbg guy like me, I usually put wyvernfire minefield and lead the mob to charge at me and step on that.

But if u like big dmg, become hammer bro.

Same, not even one kush gem after 25 straight kush battle. Really don't want to use that gold ticket.

Yep. Got the gem at 28 kills, got alot of kush stuff though. That sweet 95% affinity karma lbg. Now farming rathian gem and rathalos gem for crit dmg boost charm. Back to work

update : crit boost ain't worth it. It just increase from 1.25 to 1.40 base dmg.

After 300+ mission with lbg (karma normal 2 shot is great, about 80 dmg per 1 burst round), moving on to diablos hbg, funny part is, I spend more on rolling to monster than rolling away from it.

Conclusion, almost the same dmg as 1 burst of karma with normal 3 bullet at hitpoint. Max hit dmg I got from normal 3 bullet is to anja at 110+ per bullet. Wyvernsnipe and wyvern ammo is good force multi. Opted not using shield for hbg and used 3 reload.

One thing though, never make mistake with hbg, you will probably get one shot and reloading is where you will be hit. Monster know when you reload in multiplayer. They WILL target you at reloading time.

After almost 200 hours with lbg, kinda developed 6th sense when monster in multiplayer is going to jump you even when they are facing other players. Look at its eyes...

Nerg is the hulk of the bunch. Like Admiral/ Meowscular chef bunch lvl. ut well, I like pickle boi more though. That guy is insane.

If you want to face the full might of tempered monster, solo multiplayer tempered quest, where the ai is adjusted and about 2.6 x hp increase. Glorious fight.

Alot of flashbang. 3+ 10 flashbug. Rath attack is easy to dodge. If you don't like the place you currently fighting it, dung him to other place. Throw flashbang at his face when he is flying for alot of free hit. Do solo hunt. Solo is easy mod for mhworld.

Solo or with team? Nerg with team is a bit unpredictable on the agro. In multi, when nerg look at you, be ready for roll. Destroy the spike when its going black before nerg do sup dive. Always have flashbang. Solo is easier, more predictable. If sos mod, stick under him for melee and always on the move with ranged. Easier mod, play lance. Then again, while playing alone with your trusty palico is easier, if you like challenge, play PuG. Keeping yourself and teammate alive is the real challenge.

In other note, Tempered Teo in multi is crazier with random agro and with ranged, you need to headshot him for dmg. I really don't like him when using lbg or hbg

Another note, the best way to master a weapon is trial by fire. Don't know how to use certain weapon? go to training area, learn the move then go straight to hr black diablos fight. You will learn faster.
