Model?A few of the newer models like C1200 has VPN but no speed limiting. The older ones like C5 has speed limiting but no VPN.

Alex9182 After check my router, YES! you are right, you can see the picture attached.that mean any time NAT Boost is Enable for IPTV, we will not be able to use QoS Functionality, that includes Asus Router, is it correct? However, if is your bandwidth throughput is low, basically you can't see the different. If is HyppTV, actually TM have a dedicated bandwidth. Possible to tell us more what you trying to achieve? So everyone from here can learn together. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Alex9182 @ Mar 20 2018, 03:11 PM) any form of speed control need to enable QoS on Router right? Speed control and QoS are 2 separate things which can be dis/enabled independently. that mean any time NAT Boost is Enable for IPTV, we will not be able to use QoS Functionality, that includes Asus Router, is it correct? That’s correct, no QoS when Boost is on. Generally speaking, in order for the above to work, “NAT Boost” needs to be disabled because “NAT Boost” allows traffic to bypass the CPU (to speed things up) whereas speed control and QoS requires the cpu’s attention so it can exercise some form of control. NAT Boost is also why a cheap router can handle a 500mbps internet connection which normally requires a much more expensive router. This post has been edited by soonwai: Mar 21 2018, 10:42 AM |

I'm not clear on what you want to do and I'm not familiar with TP-Link but here goes.which model can do that, pls recommend. 1. HyppTV doesn't use NAT so I'm not sure why you're asking about this specifically. 2. NAT Boost affects the whole router. On will disable speed limit (and QoS). But off or on should have no effect on HyppTV traffic. On a my router, a Mikrotik, same thing applies. 1. NAT Boost called Fasttrack here also must be off for any QoS or speed limit to work. 2. HyppTV traffic is accelerated (not for increased speed, more for less CPU usage) by another component called Fastpath. This works even when Fasttrack is off. 3. There's a 3rd way and that is to offload HyppTV traffic to the switch chip. This is the fastest, practically 0% cpu usage. |

Cheap and easy. Can refer here for more info https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/ However, what I'm talking about above is doing the offload to the switch chip on the same router which is doing the routing for the internet. Separate switch not needed. So the switch chip inside the Mikrotik router handles vlan600 and the router's cpu handles vlan500. |

I bought a TPLink Archer MR200 for CCTV usage... bought Digi broadband as well. I can connect&view the cctv via mobile app (provided by the manufacturer), but when I try to access using my office computer, it does not work. As I understand, it has to do with Private and Public IP. Anyone got solution? if not its ok, my main question is below.
I enabled remote access. added no-ip.com but unable to remote access my router, in case I wanted to re-boot or something. |

You won't get public IP from them.I enabled remote access. added no-ip.com but unable to remote access my router, in case I wanted to re-boot or something. You won't be able to remote access, even if you use no-ip as you can't port-forward, as you have a private IP. No-IP just helps you to update your dynamic IP address, but has nothing to do with helping you with port-forwarding. |

Hi,
I m currently using default WLAN router ,RG 4332 provided by tm and it is started to give me problem. Am looking for compatible replacement for RG4332. Any suitable router from TP link? I am still using VDSL 2, not FTTH |
