Bro, there’s no speed limit setting for TP-Link routers, even for Asus routers.

I've only used these 2 models. C5 has speed limiting, C1200 doesn't.
*
my previous TP-Link ADSL router also has speed limiting.

Model?

A few of the newer models like C1200 has VPN but no speed limiting. The older ones like C5 has speed limiting but no VPN.

SilentVampire Bro, it is available in ASUS router, please find in the video link: ASUS Bandwidth Limited on Guest Network

any form of speed control need to enable QoS on Router right?
that mean any time NAT Boost is Enable for IPTV, we will not be able to use QoS Functionality, that includes Asus Router, is it correct?

Alex9182 After check my router, YES! you are right, you can see the picture attached.

However, if is your bandwidth throughput is low, basically you can't see the different.

If is HyppTV, actually TM have a dedicated bandwidth.

Possible to tell us more what you trying to achieve? So everyone from here can learn together.

Speed control and QoS are 2 separate things which can be dis/enabled independently.

That’s correct, no QoS when Boost is on. Generally speaking, in order for the above to work, “NAT Boost” needs to be disabled because “NAT Boost” allows traffic to bypass the CPU (to speed things up) whereas speed control and QoS requires the cpu’s attention so it can exercise some form of control.

NAT Boost is also why a cheap router can handle a 500mbps internet connection which normally requires a much more expensive router.
*
oh, good to know that, this mean there are router that can enable Hyppe TV (turn on NAT Boost) while setting speed limit on guest wifi?

which model can do that, pls recommend. smile.gif

I'm not clear on what you want to do and I'm not familiar with TP-Link but here goes.
1. HyppTV doesn't use NAT so I'm not sure why you're asking about this specifically.
2. NAT Boost affects the whole router. On will disable speed limit (and QoS). But off or on should have no effect on HyppTV traffic.

On a my router, a Mikrotik, same thing applies.
1. NAT Boost called Fasttrack here also must be off for any QoS or speed limit to work.
2. HyppTV traffic is accelerated (not for increased speed, more for less CPU usage) by another component called Fastpath. This works even when Fasttrack is off.
3. There's a 3rd way and that is to offload HyppTV traffic to the switch chip. This is the fastest, practically 0% cpu usage.
*
on Archer C1200, i remember turn off NAT Boost, HyppTV not working.

Not from TP-Link. D-Link, yes. Two models. See here:

1) http://www.dlink.com.my/product/ac1200-wir...bit-4-port-iad/

2) http://www.dlink.com.my/product/dsl-2877al...s-modem-router/

I would recommend the first link.

why not TP-Link, they dont have good VDSL2 Router?

Same question. Anyone?

Also, is your hypptv run alright with Archer c7 v4? Mine sometimes got "no connection" but it turns alright if I use the given router (dIR850) by unifi.
*
You mean the word "no connection" ? i never encounter that.

My Archer C7 V4 so far encounter 2 time Hypptv hang with a small satellite dish crossed icon come out. but when select other channel with the set top box, all is ok again.

once in a while Hypptv will lag a bit around 1 sec like that. this also happen with C1200 TM router.

anyone experienced slow data rate when using tplink router.

here's the connection:

4G modem router = > direct connection can get 100-190 mbps data rate

4G modem router -- Archer 3150 => at most 50-60 mbps. I have tried disabling the WiFi leaving only 1 connecting device for speed test.
Client connection was using the gigabit LAN port.

It used to be close or similar speed.

Try switch off Bluetooth and test again

I mean if u done speedtest using phone on 2.4Ghz band, switch off phone Bluetooth first because it may have impact on the result.

Hi TPLink Malaysia, i need your technical support here........
*
I doubt TP-Link will help you, i call TP-Link customer service once on some technical issue on this same router model provided by TM, they told me to refer to TM as it is provided by TM and under TM warranty.

Then i call TM for help, they told me it is Firmware issue and wait for next Firmware update to fixed it.

i end up purchasing new Router.

Hi TP-Link Malaysia,
By the way, I purchase from Lazada. But seems like don't want to take responsible for it and request me direct send to TP-Link service center.
How should I do? The packaging box is quite big one.
*
if it is within 14 days purchased from Lazada, just claim defective for full refund and buy again. no need to go through so much trouble claim warranty.
