though it won't be immediate but they are very proactive in tackling software issues especially their latest lineups...

They are now focusing heavily for their Wifi7 series ...but is not a suprise..since a normal entry level wifi7 router mesh can essily cost up to a thousand.

tp link engineer release firmwares updates very strangely.

i think is the way how they program their firmwares...not consistent and tally throughout their product range , but ifyou know the internal chipset , and their tendency to release for a certain model , you can roughly guess which one gets release first based on the frequency of updates.

could be also due to a unspoken fact that they release firmwares for more users on a certain model as they can track through their cloud servers deco app or the router app.

Like the X50(v1) I'm using, is based on qualcomm. hence x55, x60(v1), x20 (v4) all will get updates earlier.

Hello!

I currently am renting a 1st Floor (Ground) of a shoplot for an office. My plan is to rent the 3rd Floor and am looking at options to extend the wifi. The 2nd Floor is unavailable.

Will a 2 pack Deco X50 suffice? Is the signal strong enough to penetrate upwards 2 floors?

If the wifi isnt strong enough, can i later on pull an LAN cable from the Deco on the ground floor to the 3rd floor and use it that way to make sure both floors have coverage?

Thanks guys!

Ah man, that sucks. Another forumer said it can work. =/

I dont think any mesh system is robust enough to penetrate through a gap of 1 floor.

Even if it works, it wont be fast or stable.

Suggest to pull LAN cable to third floor and just buy another router and setup as access point mode.

TP-Link never support VoIP pasthrough for Maxis Fibre since day 1.

You can try to change the Maxis router either KAON or the C5V to bridge mode then you still can PPPOE on your own router.

Hi.

I'm thinking of getting the BE550. Currently in Unifi 1gbps (but free upgraded to 2gbps) and using the white TM onu. My question is, if I get the BE550, can I just simply use it in place of the white onu, or I still need to use the TM device and bridged the BE550?

if you already in 2Gbps, you need my GPON Stick with 2.5G Ethernet just like this guy, using BE550:

I just set up my new BE65 few days ago, same issue and turned out I didn't set the VLAN. Make sure to select Unifi in the VLAN settings.

Finally added the most sought after request of all time,DoH and DoT, should be coming to most of the recent released decos soon after this.

Hi. Please allow me to ask about bridge mode. I own a ax73 router and want to use this router as the broadcaster of wigi signal in my home. I am currently using a YES 5G router. At most I only know to connect the lan port from 5g router to WAN port on ax73. There is no bridge mode option on either router. Please guide me on how should i do it

have u tried the asus zen wifi7 with afc?

can the wifi7 6ghz get as good a range as 5ghz using afc? hmm.gif

https://dongknows.com/asus-zenwifi-bq16-pro-review/

but yeah, wired networking to each mesh node would be ideal.

I'm just going by a single ap, but seems to do full coverage though it falls back to 5ghz to do so. 6ghz 320mhz in the same room as ap in direct line of sight is what works for me sweat.gif

Tried. But still not working.
How about the other settings? VOIP, IPTV, etc., etc.
