Just switched to celcom fibre and they gave tp0link AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 router (Archer AX10). Going in the router settings, settings are so limited. Do celcom lock their firmware? Cannot even set dns. I only see my devices connected to 5G. Any thoughts?

Yea, this is definitely not the usual interface

I not sure if you can unlock it. Normally there is a second superadmin account.

not sure why celcom still doing this crappy old practice.
Nowadays all big isp just give stock router and let the upstream include the config in their firmware.

In moving away from Asus ecosystem and changing to be550 for my main node. Any suggestions for currently cheapest ethernet onemesh node? Preferably one with low power but high gain since I'm only concerned about horizontal coverage.

Got old ax10 router from celcom, but apparently the firmware follows different update branch that didn't include the onemesh update and it would decline mainline firmware flash.

Gain on consumer routers are usually 3-5dBi, not much difference.

Not all TP-Link EasyMesh routers support Ethernet backhaul and it's further complicated by inconsistencies between hardware version.

Refer to this link: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/593722

I highly recommend getting a model that support WPA3 else there might be issues.

The reason being WiFi 7 enforces WPA3 and if your node doesn't support WPA3, certain phones won't roam to it cause it might think it's a rogue AP. iPhone will even show a warning telling you that the network is last joined as WPA3 and ask if you want to proceed.

Yea I have researched around, apparently tplink didn't make any high gain variant router models like Asus did.

Looks like the best (non-ax10) I found is AX23 v1/v1.2, but the info seems conflicted. They claim it got ethernet support via update, but actual firmware download page didn't mention any version that adds ethernet capability. Maybe different region?
I'm not going to risk it.

So the safest best is AX53 all hardware version. Got firmware update with ethernet capability available for download.

TP-LINK MY Do I need to set appointment to come to the Jalan Imbi office for RMA?

Bought BE550 before raya.
last week when I wanted to hook up a NAS I realized that my LAN1 is not working at all (confirmed) and few days ago I also suspect LAN2 seems to be unable to operate beyond 100mbps (not confirm yet).

Website directed me to contact them by email, but whoever replying to me was a retard that has no business talking as IT support, keep pusing2 to something unrelated to my query. Or probably just low quality AI with bad English. idk.
At this point I don't see how they can be any help.

Just walk in to their Plaza Berjaya service center, no appointment needed. Bring everything including receipt.

BTW it's opposite times square.

Remember don't go during their 2-3pm which is their lunch hour and sometime nobody is there until a bit later. Suggest to go either around 11AM - 1PM.

Ah. Nice.

If buy from their shopee official store still need to print physical receipt?
Because I don't remember receiving one with the shipment.

In "order details" for that particular order, you are able to request for E-invoice.

When requested via app, it was sent via email but never actually arrive.
So I use desktop and just downloaded the pdf directly from website.

Anyway, I was able to request a replacement easily earlier this week at the office without much questions asked.

Is it on the spot replacement and how long is the wait?
*
On the spot. I think less than 10min?
Told the guy at counter about the problem, and take out the router and show pdf receipt.
Guy check if they have ready stock at the backroom, replacement power on test, some barcode scan here and there and thats it.
