No, those provided credentials are set by MAXIS on their provided routers

Your own Deco mesh would have a default password printed on it

Both are tplink products, but isp provided ones are usually customized with special features or locked down in settings
so that's why despite resetting, the maxis provided router keeps its default maxis passwords

Because the credentials your provide gave access to super user setting in the router.

Now I can change and enable few features that has been locked in normal user mode.

Just sharing on my cheapskate/cheapest set up for 3000 sqft.

Bought two units of Archer C80 for easymesh.
Top floor manages to get consistently 400-500 mbps for main router.
Satellite put on 2nd floor, managed to get 140-150mbps
Ground floor around 100mbps

Enough for daily use.
Both units total cost about RM300 only. :-)

I bought a subsale house. So, the optic fiber connection is located at the store room and there is 3 built-in LAN Cable which extend to 3 strategy places around the house.

Thus, what is the best solution? Mesh, wifi extender or two different modem, one in each floor?

Mesh WiFi system with wired backhaul

You get the fast speed of a wired backhaul and the good roaming feature of most good mesh Wi-Fi system in the market

Not the fan of that app, but you can find the DNS settings in either internet connection (a.k.a wan settings) or lan DHCP settings, but I prefer set at wan level

I also prefer use 192 web interface when possible over such app

For cloud flare
Primary 1.1.1.1
Secondary 1.0.0.1

Then can check 1.1.1.1/help to make sure configuration is correct
