Deco mesh meaning not those router with many lan ports but those similar to E4 and M5 I am using. So I will get x10 but I scare not compatible as my E4 and M5 no wifi 6 and this x10 is wifi 6.

TP-Link brand will only mesh with TP-Link and Deco brand will only mesh with Deco

You can mix wifi 5 and 6 together

I have the same issue as you. I went to their service center in Plaza Berjaya KL last week to claim warranty for the powerline homeplug. They need both items without any physical damage. But, the staff told me that the TL-WPA8631P KIT is out of stock. I have to wait for stock or the staff given me the option to replace with Deco M4 Mesh wifi (3-pack).
*
Lucky you bro.. I did not have the luxury of time to go over to their service center. =( Did you agree to take the Deco M4 instead ? If yes, how did it fare compared to the WPA8631P kit ?

Now I'm kinda having regret for submitting warranty claim via the reseller. It's been 2 months and they have no idea what's going on with my claim cos TP Link never update them. I asked the reseller if I can just go over to TP Link directly and ask , they say better just wait cos TP Link might not layan me if I walk in directly to ask about the claim that is submitted by them. The unit is barely 6 months old. sweat.gif

Currently using X20 (3 packs) for my home setup since 2020

Parents' home now using Deco M4 which i think also roughly almost 2 years d?

Plan to take one biji x20 over there (to replace parents' main) while at the same time buy a new Deco XE75 router (one pack) to replace my own home main Deco.

Any bad thing about XE75 to notice (beside v1 and v2 right now)?

Hey guys! Anyone here using the latest WiFi 7 decos already?

Can I know what is the maximum vpn client speed you guys are able to achieve?

My current deco x90 can only reach 30mbps with openvpn Surfshark whereas my 4 year old ASUS could reach 130mbps

try check is beamforming on? sometimes beamforming can impose disadvantages.

either way check for beamforming on the router main page or through tplink tether app

all those extra feature had been disabled by default. i notice i using same device and sitting just beside the router, the "link rate" of the wifi will always be different,
sometimes link rate maxed at 1200mbps, then i get 200mbps on speedtest. but most of the time the link rate to the tplink router is only 500+mbps, then i only get 160ish mbps on speedtest. have tried all the settings given in the router still cant find a clue. also have tried change the channel width to 80mhz

if it fails, call up your ISP and have them either reset your port connection.

By default the router speed settings is usually due to signal, coverage and the DNS, physical hardware performance is more or less already fixated to the device and nothing much can be done, unless due to serious case like firmware bugs.

I have an Archer AX20 on 500mbps connection, with about a dozen+ devices connected. Works just fine, no throttling whatsoever.. except when any of my sons download new games (games these days and their dozen gig sizes) from.. Steam or wherever, at certain point my router will reboot itself, which is almost certain to happen. They're both on Wifi, and my PC which is connected by ethernet, faces no such issue. Do I need.. a more robust router? Or cap the download speed on my kids pc? Or any settings I should take a look at..? Thanks guys!

Re-simulate the scenario ,then login to router page to check on

Ram usage%
Cpu usage%

if both parameters is near to maximum limit, you need to consider upgrading it.

or just set QOS or bandwidth limit onto his device .

Is the router firmware up to date ?

Upon setting up, after putting the wifi name, it turns red. Tested no internet.

What went wrong?
