Guys, what happen if you try too many incorrect password for your tplink wireless router? Usually I always can guess what my old self set for password, but I'm quite stumped right now. Only got 1 try left lol.

The router is doing fine right now, I don't have to change any settings. It just bothering me that I forgot a password.

You mean portal password? Maybe unable to access for an hour or more just like many attempts through phone unlocks.

yeah that web portal password. it prompts me to reset the router if i forgot the password.

wanted to fix some internet issue, but it seems like a problem on PC side. now it's fixed. i'll figure out the password some other day.

has anyone successfully setup ALLO broadband for AX72? i am planning to replace the original router from ALLO with it

using 500mbps package

I have recently setup my AX73 Open VPN client with Surfshark and noted that contrary to normal reduction of speed of about 20%, I am getting about getting about 80% reduction in speed 😵‍💫🤦

Anyone facing this issue? Setup wrongly or just crappy implementation by TPLink as usual? 🤔

Hi , im having some issues with weak signal at certain spots in my house. Currently on maxis 300 mbps plan with their given router .Speed wise it is more than enough for the household. Would you guys recommending Just buying a mesh eg tplink deco(x90, x68) or upgrading to maxis 500mbps and take their given mesh units?

What's the built-up of your house? Layout plan + router location? But knowing Maxshit, you got a crappy router and even if you up plan, not gonna help ☺️

My recommendation, get yourself the latest WiFi 6E Tri-band router and all your issues are resolved 😉

The new cheaper Deco HC4 not bad. Tested with Unifi 500/100. One unit straight to modem. 300+ is directly one floor up.

7000sqft bungalow unit , yeah i guess i will just get the WIFI 6 Tri band router . Dont think i have any devices that supported 6E.

Don't worry, all new devices ie. most 2021 phones already supports 6E fyi

Try to place your router right at the middle of the house, preferably away from other electronic equipment. Antenna positioning very critical to ensure full coverage ✌️

Hi guys, want to ask those who are using the deco m4. Does it have a built in firewall or spi firewall?

I'm asking this because I've placed an order for the m4 to setup mesh and also replacing an aging 10yo Asus rt68u router.

M4r does support SPI / NAT based firewall but it is very basic, not configurable and only works under router mode

Got it today for super good price. Can't wait to dump my Huawei mesh and change back to Ax73 + Re705X 😃

Just very limited in the functionality, it’s an awesome access point, but if you want to say use a vpn for your whole home, or vpn into your home, you can’t do it

Can someone teach me how to setup my ax73 with time fiber? Still using original Huawei and mesh given by time now...

Call to customer service or contact Time FB messenger, change your ONT to bridge mode. After that ONT Lan 1 cable to your AX73 Wan port, open your AX73 setting key in user ID and password (get from your Time app : pppoe credentials)... Voila done.

I have 2 units of TP link Deco E4. Been using it for 2 years with my 100 MB unifi line. There are some problems I notice.

1. I don't get 100 MB download on my devices. It usually tops up at 40+ mb, this is wifi 6, or phone as well. Any ideas? I tried internal NAS (wired)-PC transfer(wifi), and also see it tops at 40+ mb.

2. After two days of restoring my PC and steam library, my Note20 phone can no longer connect to the mesh. I've placed the correct password. Scan QR of a connected device-it says incorrect password. How come and how to fix this? It was fine previously. My phone also cannot connect to the Deco app, previously it was fine.

3. Is it possible to turn on QoS for selected devices? I want to use Steam link on my phone and Steam Remote play on another PC better. Latency of steam reamote play on the PC is great, even though, there are some graphical issues. Steam link on the phone is bad. Any ideas how to make this better?

Will better Deco units solve my problem?
