Is there a difference between using the M9 Deco Plus in Dynamic IP mode (connected to TM router) and M9 Deco Plus in PPPoE mode? I noticed that I can no longer get 800mbps with a wired connection changing from Dynamic IP connected to TM router and PPPoE mode connected to M9 deco via cat6 cable.

QUOTE(aniq8676 @ Sep 2 2021, 11:03 PM) Deco Mesh seems to have a Speed Drop issue in PPPoE mode. Mine Deco M4 New firmware to address this issue is still in BETA. I see. Guess it's nothing wrong on unifi side. I need to use PPPoE mode because too many cables when using the TM router in dynamic IP.

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 2 2021, 11:15 PM) Make sure you don't use the HomeCare features. They will slow things down. Not noticeable on slower connection but definitely noticeable on 800Mbps. HomeCare is disabled. Still not seeing anywhere near 800mbps like yesterday, but managed to get 588mbps. Deco M9 is updated to the latest firmware. Seems to be Unifi problem then? Currently only my house is connected to the unifi distributor port box outside.... can't imagine how it will be when all the neighbors starts using unifi.

Use M9 Deco in router mode with unifi 800mbps. Wireless speed becomes erratic, fluctuates sometimes even went down to under 100mbps. Had to disconnect and reconnect my PC from the network again to get faster speed.
Internal speed test with the TP-link app shows that I can only get maximum of around 500-600mbps downstream. upstream was not affected at 200mbps. Homecare was disabled and tried disable QoS and tried set them to maximum.
Today I revert back to AP mode. Internal speed test with the app, I can get full speed at 850mbps. Wireless speed is now more stable.
Something is definitely not right with the M9 Deco. Mine is v2 with latest firmware.

QUOTE(tachlio @ Sep 10 2021, 12:55 PM) Try full reset and config again Did that few times. Same result. I'm quite sure now that the M9 Deco can only handle max 500mbps connection. Already bought AX20 for router. Don't want headache.

Guys, what happen if you try too many incorrect password for your tplink wireless router? Usually I always can guess what my old self set for password, but I'm quite stumped right now. Only got 1 try left lol.
The router is doing fine right now, I don't have to change any settings. It just bothering me that I forgot a password.

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Oct 27 2022, 12:39 AM) You mean portal password? Maybe unable to access for an hour or more just like many attempts through phone unlocks. yeah that web portal password. it prompts me to reset the router if i forgot the password. wanted to fix some internet issue, but it seems like a problem on PC side. now it's fixed. i'll figure out the password some other day.
