Deco E4. 100 MB unifi line.

1. I don't get 100 MB download on my devices.
*
E4 Ethernet port is only rated 100Mbps.

100 Mbps (megabits per second) =
12.5 MBps (megabytes per second)

Each wireless device connected will halve available speed.
i.e.
1 connected device can get full attention of a ~100Mbps AP.
But 2 connected devices will need the AP to divide is attention to ~50Mbps each.
So your problem can also be that all the devices are drawing at the same time.

I have been using Mercusys MR80X since Saturday last week.
My first ever WiFi 6 router. So far not bad.
Bought it on 12/12 for RM 177.
Consider value for money for my Double Storey Terrace.

What is the difference between deco x50 and x60?

I’m using time Fibre with 500Mbps plan, in a 3000sqft condo so I plan to have a couple of nodes around the house.

Are those 2 suitable for my needs? I’m open to suggestions of other models as well.

Just to manage your expectation.

Any AX3000 mesh WiFi will not give you 500Mbps on the mesh node with wireless backhaul.

You will need Deco X68 for that.

Hi guys, need some help here...recently i have upgraded my time fibre from 100mbps to 500mbps. Further, i have also installed 2 units deco mesh wifi x60 as access point. However, when i performed speed test, i can only achived 500mbps when connect to the primary mesh wifi (connected via LAN cable), but for the secondary mesh (connected via wifi), it always capped at100 mbps only, any idea what is the root cause?

I see, but no issue if it’s wired backhaul right? I have Ethernet access points to some of the main areas which I’m a bit particular on the speed, but most parts of the house, just as long as there’s coverage with usable internet speeds for phones, should be sufficient.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not too concerned on the Ethernet ports, but all these antennas and stuff, how much does it matter for normal usage (phones, normal laptop browsing)? Does X60 have wider coverage or something?

Yes, X60 will have slightly wider range due to more antennas

Hi, need some advice/recommendations. Am running unifi 300 mbps with a deco m5 as my main router with 2 units of m4r for wifi coverage. However I now need more then 2 Ethernet ports which the m5 provides. What TP link router is compatible with the deco mesh network that has the standard 4 Ethernet ports which is optimal for 300mbps?Thank you
