does tp link have easymesh products? just got my maxis fibre router and stated easymesh.

Easymesh better than Deco mesh? Or the same item?

Staying in 2 storey house. Dont think current router from Maxis can cover the house.

Thanks for the advise!!

Hey guys. Im only on 30mbps plan and looking to cover my house (3000sqft) with main purpose for wifi cctvs.
All devices should add up to about 10+

Which should i consider
Deco x20 or single ax72/with maybe a onemesh extender.

Also, cam ax72 mesh with ax72?

Thanks

Deco X20 for me.Two is better than one as it will help you to offload the burden of the router. Plus your house is 3000sqft which might be hard for the wifi to penetrate if multiple walls and deco use true roaming standard which allow seamless roaming. You can always add more units afterwards if you need.

What about m9 vs x20. Since both are priced in same range anyway.

If such case, I would grab M9 plus since you have only 10+ devices although wi-fi 6 might offer slightly greater range plus better mu-mimo technology. Plus tri-band feature to avoid loss of internet speed 30Mbps which is precious to you haha.

This is purely my perception. Maybe blacktubi can help a bit.

2.4G  hard to  get  200mbps  speed.
its old tech  and most routers  only  built 2  antenna for 2.4G  hence  performance  cannot  be tops.

Agree with this. I'm on 300mbps line.

Using 5GHz wifi I can hit the full speed when near the router. But using 2.4Ghz, I only get around 165+ mbps even when right next to router. Tested using iphone and AX73.

anyone using the latest 2022 DECO X50 (not to be confused with archer)

the new model can use IPTV vlan 600 (for white color unifi box) for second deco, however no matter which port configured and connected, the white color box will fail to connect to IPTV (even though already double check the same correct IPTV username/password in the box)

is this issue going to be fixed by firmware update? or something misconfigured?

Hi gais...
I really like using deco mesh from tplink and now i have a plan to setup home networking LAN + Mesh solution. Basically i still want to use the mesh but also there will be LAN cable connection so i guess i need to combine both mesh and switch? Is it easy to setup as plug and play or i need technical knowledge? Thanks in advance!

just plug a dumb switch behind the deco and you can treat it as extra lan ports.

so basically i just need to add the switch based on STAR configuration ( i googled and found this guide from tp-link) but no details on the technical part to set it up...
it's really like plug and play only?

thanks!

if you are on wireless mesh, no difference. just plug it where you want the extra LAN ports.

I have an AX-73 router. But strangely my laptop cannot be detected/seen by other devices on the network.

Maybe it's a security setting on the AX-73? Anyone know what setting to change to make my laptop discoverable on the network?

Hi blacktubi,

I followed that guide and changed the Windows settings. Unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem I had. To be more specific the problem is sending scanned documents from the common photocopier to my laptop. When connected to the AX-73, the photocopier somehow cannot see my laptop and can't send the scanned file.

In my office there are other routers also, one of them is an old TP Link TL-WR841HP. Funny thing is when I connect to this router (via 2.4GHz), then there is no problem sending the file to my laptop.

Hence, I'm wondering why the AX-73 is giving me this problem.
