How long does it takes for the credit card to be ready? I received an SMS saying that my application approved. But there is no calls from the banks yet. Mine is HLB. Anyone know how long it will takes?

Currently working overseas (thus no EPF/EA what not) but interested to get a credit card with lounge access (preferably worldwide). Tried for the AMBank WMC/VI and got rejected and as expected Ambank do not reveal the reasons for the rejection.

However looking through forum I suspect the following:
1. Foreign income is not converted thus looking at 1:1
2. No local income, tax and EPF documents

Can I please ask if I should try again for other cards like the Platinum with limited access and/or other cards preferably with lounge access and no annual fee for life?

Foreign income usually not converted by banks.

Best way is become a premier banking customer. Banks usually offer VI for that kinda level of investment. Most VI comes with limited lounge visits anyways.

Or you can pledge FD for the Ambank WMC but you'll need >30k which I don't think would be a problem for you.

Will have to call/walk in a branch I guess when I am next back but why can't they reveal the reasons or request further supporting documents and methods to save time for customer and bank.

i want to apply public bank credit card (mainly for balancae transfer)
but fail
want to ask what reason may affected the failure of applying?

not sure, the banker only offer me after housing loan with them is approved.

you can call up to the CS to change the statement date you prefer( if I can recall correctly, there are 2 -3 statement date you can choose )

call CS to find out your statement date. most likely they cant tell you now since it's too new. might need to wait until 1st statement is out, then the system will be updated.

last time i asked, there are a lot of dates for you to choose from

3 6 8 12 14 18 21 24 26 28 EOM (end of month). there could be few more, cuz i asked these dates few years back.
