Hey guys, which credit card is the best to get realistic miles for free flight tickets?? Is the may bank premier still the best?? I currently have a Citibank premier miles, but since the reward system changed, it's quite useless.

I am holding a M2P and I still think M2P is the fastest way to get airmiles, providing you can use the AMEX.

It's better you swipe and use 0% balance transfer.
Cash advance is not recommended at all, no 0% and interest is calculated on daily basis.

Hi, I have a few questions regarding credit card application that I would like to clear up.

1. If I have only been working for 2 months, can I still apply for a credit card or do I need to wait for the 3rd month to provide 3 months payslip? Anyone has any experience with this before?

2. If my application gets rejected the first time from a certain bank, would I be able to reapply again with the same bank or do I need to start applying for CC from other banks?

Tqvm.

1) For new to workforce, better at least 3 to 6 months. If possible 6 months.

2) Yes, suggest try to apply 6 months later.

I do not have any commitments at the minute (loans/CC/PTPTN), how would this affect my CC application?

Thanks again.

No credit history also means a risk to the banks, so try applying from the bank which your salary is credited to.

Hence of this, they want to make sure the Applicant got a Stable job with Ability to repay Debt 1st, only they grant you a Credit Card.

Just wondering if you know if our chances of getting the card will be higher if we pledge a fixed deposit to apply for the card.

*UPDATED, sorry for the bad english in the previous one (This reply)

Pledge FD you can of course get it because banks will grant you CL based on your FD amount. Once you lift it up, card will be terminated too.

depends.

if your cb is earlier than statement date, then your current statement amount is lesser

if your cb is later than statement date, then your next statement amount would be lesser

mbb/hlb's cb is on 1st of the month, pbb vs/quantum is on statement date. other cards may varies.

Hi all

Currently working overseas (thus no EPF/EA what not) but interested to get a credit card with lounge access (preferably worldwide). Tried for the AMBank WMC/VI and got rejected and as expected Ambank do not reveal the reasons for the rejection.

However looking through forum I suspect the following:
1. Foreign income is not converted thus looking at 1:1
2. No local income, tax and EPF documents

Can I please ask if I should try again for other cards like the Platinum with limited access and/or other cards preferably with lounge access and no annual fee for life?

Thanks
zem

How long does it takes for the credit card to be ready? I received an SMS saying that my application approved. But there is no calls from the banks yet. Mine is HLB. Anyone know how long it will takes?
