Hi all, Im new here ! Its been 4 month since my SI. After bulk of email I sent to them, finally I got an email :-

" Dear Valued Candidates,

This is to inform that we have identified a suitable position for you in PETRONAS Exploration & Production Business and currently processing the offer.
You shall be contacted once your offer has obtained necessary approval and ready to be issued. "

The thing is I already read the previous thread. This really makes me worry. How long usually they will issued medical letter ?

Actually I heard even some of the Malays can't get promotions...

That doesn't mean they don't deserve to be at the top. But then again, it is a GLC.

working with GLCs hardly get promotion, i don't think its the race issue but if you're talking about the top level senior management, then maybe yes... anyway they usually recruit new bloods for senior management, hardly go for internal staffs promotion...

The answer can be very subjective and I don't think anyone here can give you an exact answer. Just stay calm and patient while waiting for it. smile.gif

seriously? niceeee! my session is tomorrow at 3.30pm. I'm not sure what position specifically but when I asked, they said Trading Executive.
how about you?

IDK when is mine! haha but the other day when hr called he said his boss would like to meet me this week so I said Friday is good. Since I'm in Borneo island, I need to get my flight ticket first but yesterday I called the hr to confirm but there's no answer! I assumed the hr personnel is on leave (just to be positive lols). I called every half an hour. I don't want to waste my money buying the flight ticket and only to know that the boss might not be available on Friday. So yeah today I'll try to call again.
Btw mine is for risk management (I'm actuarial sc major), they didn't really specify as what.

Good luck on your session!! smile.gif

According to the briefing by HR, you must be confirmed before Jan 2013 or somewhere around that, couldnt remember the exact month. biggrin.gif

I don't know the answer for the first question but it seems like, it is highly unlikely to happen.
For second question, the adjustment varies from a person to another person as it is based on years of service, past performance, grades and etc. smile.gif

I would attend because the chit chat thing is not a commitment or anything. Not attending it shows you are disinterested with PETRONAS (not just the research side) and if I know how Petronas works, the don't take this kind of slight lightly. There is no harm going but possible harm not going ....

Hi guys,

Any idea what is the job scope of Production Executive for PCSB - PMO will look like? Is it office job only or still have a chance going offshore? Btw, my background is in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

It can be a range of positions under this so-called "production executive" such as operation engineer, production planner, production surveillance, process technologist, tanker planer and etc so I guess you will only know your exact position after you join.
Be patient! smile.gif
