QUOTE(amber liew @ Dec 17 2010, 06:10 PM) last two years ago I was also undergoing internship in petronas carigali kerteh, in that period I also given a chance to enter Petronas refinery. What can I say is it is gorgeous. Btw I am sure u are study in UTP right? Since not much students other than UTP can train in PET. PM me if you want to know more about PET. i am neither a UTP student nor Petronas scholars.. |

QUOTE(200plus @ Mar 28 2012, 06:31 PM) for me, it almost took 2 months for me to get an email from them..another question here, for those who are experienced, normally how long does it take to ask you to go for a SI after u submit the declaration form? and someone in Petronas called to my referee (the one in my resume), am I standing a chance for it ? |

QUOTE(zaini900 @ Jun 9 2012, 11:34 PM) i will be entering final year next sem. and doing degree in geology. nope, for internship, 2nd upper is more than enough..i'll be searching for industrial training and PETRONAS does looks promising. i'm not into salaries much but i think i'm still young and experience is the most important thing. the question is, will PETRONAS be a good place to kick start my career in OnG? service comp.? do they really take only 1st class student (there's this rumours i've been hearing)? i have a thing with offshore works. used to go candat sotong since i was a child Show ur sincerity when u apply to them. Advice to u is trying to apply directly to the OPU (eg: Petronas Carigali), but not through discover petronas website or HQ HR. Good luck This post has been edited by ixus: Jun 10 2012, 12:04 AM |

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jun 11 2012, 04:06 AM) I think for Geology you will need to be in Operating company to be able to get all the necessary working experience. If you can get an internship with Petronas, that would be great and it's a good start. If you do get a job (after graduating) with Petronas, then you are really lucky because I personally think that Petronas is the best place to be if you're a geologist. Their career development is structured, training is excellent and well prepared and Geology is one of what Petronas calls TIER 1 staff, meaning that after the assess that you're technically capable, you will be streamed into the technical line and your pay, renumeration, bonus, increment will be different than the rest of the staff in Petronas. hi bro, would you mind if u can further elaborate about TIER 1 staff ? what else job category consider as TIER 1 ? how bout process engineer (SKG16) ?Good Luck |

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jun 11 2012, 11:24 PM) My understanding is that new staff no longer gets any medical/housing/car loans benefit from Petronas. You will need to subscribe to your own health insurance. Not sure if Prudential, ING, etc covers maternity. it is the current salary for E1 had been revised to 5k at next month ? |

Hi everyone, did anyone know how is the working environment for a process engineer in Petlin in Kerteh?
Petlin is a JV, any difference in terms of management and career development in Petlin (JV) and other Petronas OPU like PPMSB, MTBE etc ? |
