How long does it takes for u get ur offer letter? I did my SI on middle of Oct and on 23rd Oct I got call from HR PCSB told me that I already passed the (SI,CBI) and I need to wait before they call me again to do my medical check up. The thing is its been a month already since I got that call and that make me so worried because because nothing is official yet. sad.gif

hi, just want to ask, after your SI, it will take around 1 week to know the result, right? Done my SI last Saturday. Hopefully can hear some good news.

After the first stage (Case Study and Role play S.I) , I have to wait around 2 weeks before been invited to the second stage (cbi) and then exactly a week later they call to inform whether u passed the cbi or not.

Good Luck thumbup.gif

erm, slightly different from me...I was invited to Technical Assessment week earlier...one week after that, been invited to SI..during that SI, i'm doing Case Study and followed up with CBI afterward...no role play for me, as they mention experience candidate can skip that part...

after 2 months waiting, yesterday i got an email from one of their HR, stated they have recently received the confirmation of my position details and they will now proceed with the employment pack approval.

They target to issue the medical examination letter by end of next week.

Does it mean i already got the position in some department?

Refer to my previous post, i was inform that they will issue medical letter by today. And guess what? I still didn't received the letter. They just sent another email and request for the document that i have submitted month ago. Haishh, it seem like the issuance of medical letter will be delay for another week. Hopefully, worst case scenario it will be delay for another month.

oh, I would like to share my experience here.

around mid of december 2012, I went for SI (I'm a PETRONAS scholar)
SI result was out around 31st January 2013 (Gotta wait till our final examination result came out)
a week later, 7th February (if Im not mistaken) received a phone call for placement from PETRONAS. (like chitchat session or something)
I was told that the medical check up letter will be emailed after chinese new year.
Due to some graduation problem I received the medical check up letter a bit late than as told. But not that late la. I received it last Monday. (On previous Friday they called me to inform on the kelewatan)

And yesterday I went to PUSRAWI, do all the medical checkup and stuff. At around 3 I sent the result to HRM at KLCC.
And early this morning, I received the offer letter through email (so fast meh! I was so surprised, (iyalah, after reading through this thread))

Oh the conclusion is, I guess HR PETRONAS is not that slow.
Plus if I'm not mistaken, different OPU has their own different HR.

I'll be reporting for duty this coming 1st, March.

and my PIPE will start on 18th March. biggrin.gif

p/s:  drool.gif pretty excited to start working at PETRONAS. I'm looking for any kind of guidances and experiences from all of you here.  icon_idea.gif  Thank you!

damn, son...the HR who handle your application is super fast...i'm still waiting for the medical letter...hopefully next week can have some positive news from them...

yup yup. as ixus said, you could call them up to ask for the status of the medical letter.
sometimes, the lateness (does this word exist?) might comes from different source. which in my case, from my university)

and if you live nearby kl, (melaka, seremban, perak etc) you should go to pusrawi for the check up, as they can provide you the result exactly on the same day. (provided tak ramai orang plus you datang pagi)
once you get the result, immediately go to klcc and send the result directly to the hr handling you.
*
the HR personnel that handle my application was on leave until 25 february...so i will follow up again on 26...hopefully there is some good news for me...

I guess she wanted to gather all the promoted candidates and issue the medical & offer letter in bulk.

hopefully that will be the case, and i do hope they can process the application a "little bit" faster...if you know what i mean...

Congrats bro. Medical checkup means you can consider yourself hired already (unless there is medical issues of course).

I'm delaying my join date to June/July, I can only tender my resignation notice in April because of personal issues. One thing for sure, their HR (at least the one I'm dealing with) is very arrogant and very hard to discuss with. Always cut of my questions and what I was trying to say. She has no respect, almost rude. It doesn't hurt to be polite, I congratulated her that she just came back from marriage but she just ignores it. Young people now just makes me sad.  shakehead.gif

that bold part really take my interest, since the HR who was dealing with with also just come back from marriage...so i assume we deal with the same HR personnel...i'm going to do my medical check up tomorrow, and hopefully can submit my result on the same date...

Thanks bro. Prince Court actually emailed the conclusion to Petronas HR and sent the full hardcopy later.
They provide you a referral letter to a specific medical centre so you can't go anywhere else, and it is only their panel.

I've seen a lot of people here being sent to Pusrawi, rarely to Prince Court like me. Even then the doc told me that he is sent about 200 new employees for assessment every month, so that's Prince Court alone you can imagine how many overall. The attrition rate in Petronas is disturbingly high, either that or they're just rapidly growing.

bro, how long did it take for them to issue offer letter after you done the medical check up?

You know what. I actually received my medical letter 2 days ago but I didnt realize until today. U know why? they sent it to the wrong email address. It should be @ymail not @ gmail. luckily I got same email ID for both gmail (my old email) and ymail( my current active email). And alhamdulillah I did notice on the email because I need to find something regarding my works.

However, there is one more problem. Soon after I read the email, I call the IPOH SPECIALIST HOSPITAL-( the panel hospital where i should do my medical check up) to check how many hours required to complete all the procedure. However, the p.i.c there told me that the machine for the offshore medical checkup( idk what does it called) just broke down and need to be send for repair (cannot be operate until further notice). Immediately I call the HR but u guys should know that it is almost impossible to get them on line. Alhamdullillah after 30 minutes of non-stop calling every single number of Petronas HR that I know, someone answered. Now I need to wait until tomorrow for me to get new medical letter.
*
finally, you got the medical letter...one step closer bro...
