I am from Big 4 aiming to get into Petronas asap.

This september would be my 1 year being in Big 4.. I have to leave because I need to find a better source of income fast as my condition needs it.

I am also an ACCA affiliate btw.

Aiming to enter Petronas but not in the Corporate financial reporting line. Is there anything related to project management that I can go to?

I also heard they pay 4k for fresh grad, is that true?

I'm delaying my join date to June/July, I can only tender my resignation notice in April because of personal issues. One thing for sure, their HR (at least the one I'm dealing with) is very arrogant and very hard to discuss with. Always cut of my questions and what I was trying to say. She has no respect, almost rude. It doesn't hurt to be polite, I congratulated her that she just came back from marriage but she just ignores it. Young people now just makes me sad.

that bold part really take my interest, since the HR who was dealing with with also just come back from marriage...so i assume we deal with the same HR personnel...i'm going to do my medical check up tomorrow, and hopefully can submit my result on the same date...

Petronas Research now concentrates mostly on doing research and I believe one of their thrust is now doing Enhanced Oil Recovery. I was in PRSS (the SS is probably gone now) for 7 years and it was a good and laid back place. There is a huge core lab and PVT lab as well and I think they should be able to do SCAL work as well. So in terms of fundamental PE work, that is a good place to be. They are also one of the units task with ensuring the Chemical EOR project in Angsi is successful so that would be exciting.

I have known (myself included) several PRSB staff who gained their experience there and then moved to Operating Units like Carigali and even PMU and moved on to become expatriates.

Do not mention names please ..... masuk Petronas dulu and hopefully you will not have to deal with them ever again ... actually once you joined, then you can kutuk them kaw-kaw punya .... (make sure you get confirmed first though heh heh heh)

Should be the same person. You'll find talking on the phone with her would be like talking to a boss, but if you don't have any issue and follows every procedure then I think it would be okay. My case was a little unusual because of the delay so a lot more discussions and negotiations involved.

I've waited 4 months before they sent me an email which told me that they've got me a position. One month later still no news. until yesterday some of our friends here already got their medical letter which just light up back my hope. Seriously U have to be VERY patient. believe it or not, I refresh my email page every 5 minutes since yesterday during office hour.
