oh, I would like to share my experience here.

around mid of december 2012, I went for SI (I'm a PETRONAS scholar)
SI result was out around 31st January 2013 (Gotta wait till our final examination result came out)
a week later, 7th February (if Im not mistaken) received a phone call for placement from PETRONAS. (like chitchat session or something)
I was told that the medical check up letter will be emailed after chinese new year.
Due to some graduation problem I received the medical check up letter a bit late than as told. But not that late la. I received it last Monday. (On previous Friday they called me to inform on the kelewatan)

And yesterday I went to PUSRAWI, do all the medical checkup and stuff. At around 3 I sent the result to HRM at KLCC.
And early this morning, I received the offer letter through email (so fast meh! I was so surprised, (iyalah, after reading through this thread))

Oh the conclusion is, I guess HR PETRONAS is not that slow.
Plus if I'm not mistaken, different OPU has their own different HR.

I'll be reporting for duty this coming 1st, March.

and my PIPE will start on 18th March. biggrin.gif

p/s:  drool.gif pretty excited to start working at PETRONAS. I'm looking for any kind of guidances and experiences from all of you here.  icon_idea.gif  Thank you!

lucky for you dude. As for me, I'm still waiting for the offer letter from petronas even though i'm from previous utp's mass recruitment batch. As i have been told before, around nov-dec last year, i got the placement under RAPID which is under downstream business after I personally contact HR. Then, earlier this year i follow up with the HR asking about my offer letter - still nothing.

After that, i personally contact some of petronas HR at their corresponding OPU asking for placement. Guest what? there are none vacancy for me. Oh ok..fine.. whatever.. then, i saw some advertisement for PCSB PMO recruitment last month.. I guest I just try my luck..

So right now, my placement change from downstream >>> upstream @ E&P business.. I guest lucky for me, worth waiting.. The HR in charge for PMO already contact and inform me that they are currently process/prepare the offer letter.. huh. My advise for those still didn't get their placement, go contact/follow up with HR personally. To those with background in petroleum/chemical/mechanical should get the placement faster as compare to those in civil/electrical engineering.. this true & happen to me personally.. Just keep your faith.. smile.gif

Hi guys,

Any idea what is the job scope of Production Executive for PCSB - PMO will look like? Is it office job only or still have a chance going offshore? Btw, my background is in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

hello all, is it worth to leave gomen (currently 41) and go to petronas?
i got offer 2 times...
but really cant make decision...

i love my work now, sometime stress, but it's a part of work isn't...
what i look in petronas is salary, some said i can get RM5000 (current 3500)..

love to hear your opinion...

fresh grad salary entering PETRONAS this year entitle the salary of RM4k per month and me myself will be joining PCSB soon next month. As for me, just grab the offer or else if you think that you are comfortable enough with your current job, continue your work with gomen. It is private vs gomen, different working culture and it is up for you to decide.. rclxms.gif

i was really suprise when they told me that my position will be as Production Supervisor which is regular offshore 2 weeks on & 2 weeks off. By the way, i'm fresh graduated in Electrical (Inst. & Control) Eng. What make me suprise is that usually they will only hire exp. people for offshore supervisor level job, but not this time huh? lucky for me i guest, because i will entitle for offshore allowance apart of my 4k monthly basic salary.. smile.gif
