i passed my SI on last friday. is there any possibility for me to join the PIPE program on this november?

nope not yet since i just had my convocation last saturday, the HR personnel asked me to email the transcript and scroll to them first before they proceed with further action. plus, the HR personnel is having a training in PRSB hence slower the process i guess. oh, it means that i have to be jobless for another month? deng 
imo, it's better for u to call them straight since u know lah how the department works kan.

I passed my SI in September. I have recently done my medical check up and I am expecting to join PIPE in December. So I doubt you will join in this November unless they really speed up everything for you.

Just got an email from Petronas HRM, they're holding off my offer letter for now  due to the fact that I've had failed the lipid serum test for cholesterol. I'll need to repeat the blood test next month at my own cost  . Anyone have had experience the same? But on positive side they'll secure the position for me until I deem fit for employment  . TQ in advance for your valuable response

There is no such thing as your experience being considered diluted due to the mass hiring. Your work experience is individual. As long as you have the righ attitude, not shy in asking your seniors relevant questions, willing to take challenging assignments and delivering your assignments on time and with quality work, then all other MNCs will be eager to hire you.

My company has around 80 Malaysian families and 50 of them are ex-Petronas, 10 ex-Shella and another 10 ex-Exxon. As you can see, Petronas staff are highly regarded in the industry. When I was offered the position with my current company, my salary package was 5 times higher than my Petronas salary. Now it will be about 2 times higher as Petronas has gone into an aggressive staff retention mode for those in critical skills group.

My company usually hires people with 10 years experience or more but have lowered it down to 6 years for Malaysian as we have shown them that we are extremely capable in doing the jobs.

Get as much experience as you can while in Petronas. I will forever be grateful to Petronas for giving me the opportunity to gain experience in the industry and I have to say that the staff development program that they have in Petronas is world class.

The HRM called earlier before the TA session, saying something
about sending me some forms that i need to fill out.
2 days later, i got a call from the Petronas inviting for the TA session.
Went for it last Friday.By the way, i Nnever actually received any forms from the HRM.
Is that normal?

I had to wait for 1 month to be called for SI after submitting declaration form.

had to wait another 1 month to be called for CBI (they didn't do my SI and CBI together).

a week after the CBI, asked them if I'm recommended, they said yes.

had to wait another 3 months to be called to come for medical checkup.

on the day I'm supposed to do the medical checkup, didn't receive my medical checkup letter (the letter you give to the hospital in order for them to charge Petronas instead of paying yourself) until I ARRIVED at the hospital.

then only got my offer letter.
