I have been offered a job with PCSB/SBO and it took 4 months before they can produced the offer letter for me.
Anyone here going for PIPE on 1 Dec?a bit excited to go for it, and wondering what it is all about
Working with Petronas?, Work environment, benefits and culture?

QUOTE(mangoman @ Oct 9 2012, 11:03 AM) thanks mangoman, you must be already working for Petronas since you said that way. I will enjoy and will treat it as my 'short holiday' ^^and today I got my offer letter with all those forms. Do I need return all those forms to HRM division in KLCC or just bring it to the place where I will report for duty? HR does not mentioned where I should return it, however I already signified the acceptance of scanned version of the offer letter and send an email to them. |

QUOTE(buttercup313 @ Oct 9 2012, 05:24 PM) hey congrats! where are you going to work? Sabah? (since you mentioned SBO) When did you have your SI? I had mine in late august.. currently waiting for their call. I wonder when.. thanks buttercup313! yeah, I'm going to work in Sabah under Operation department. As far as I remember, I did my S.I on 7 June this year. But I did follow up with HR Sabah exactly after 2 weeks, just to know the status of my job application. Thank God they said I had been recommended for the post in Petronas. My advice to you, do not wait for them to call you, after 2 week, give them a call and ask for the status.QUOTE(Jirie @ Oct 9 2012, 06:02 PM) Congrats.. Bro.. Thanks Jirie...hope you get your offer letter soon You should try contact the HR. I already got a call from HR (SBO) last Thursday. She said I passed the interview and I need to wait from HR (KLCC) to prepare the offer letter. FYI, I also did my SI in August. QUOTE(AtMostFear @ Oct 9 2012, 08:31 PM) there's a lot of business grad in petronas, not just engineering..just upload your resume to discoverpetronas, that's how most of us got the offer. yup....already followed up with them, I need to return it back to KLCC. Thanks!I believe they already mention when and where to submit those forms in the offer letter..check again. |

QUOTE(iamloco @ Oct 11 2012, 11:20 AM) Did my SI in august, got the result on 1 october (passed). Should I call them to ask about my placement? You should call the main HRM division in KLCC if you know their number, useless if you call HR in state division because placement is totally now shifted to main HRM....IMO based on my experience. QUOTE(buttercup313 @ Oct 11 2012, 12:14 PM) I called them every two weeks and their answer is please wait for us to call you. I dont know if I should call again in two weeks time. Should I? The waiting period is so long yes, the waiting period is very long, but as long as you already know the result for the interview is recommended, what you can do now is just waiting and follow up with them. |

QUOTE(Kitteh @ Oct 12 2012, 08:28 AM) I was told to puasa before my medical check up. However, that morning, I chewed 1 tiny chewing gun and the nurses upon knowing that said my act could potentially cause me to fail my blood test because of higher sugar content. dont worry, if you fail this time, you can ask for 2nd opinion from other clinic...last time I puasa and drink a lot of water untill my urine ph is neutral haha.. |

eventho they are quite slow, but I think we should be glad and thankful to them on the other side, bcoz they are really trying to process all new offers / salary appeal / payroll / etc for not only 2 or 3 persons. In my case, I have to wait 5 months to get the offer letter....peace

QUOTE(Kitteh @ Oct 28 2012, 11:33 AM) Listen to bro AtMostFear and azraeil. Kitteh, as long as you work in EM you will get it. So the answer is yes. Btw c u this dec on PIPE!I faced the same situation too, except that I had had a job offer waiting for me to sign immediately. I eventually signed that offer and worked for a month plus before I tendered my resignation recently. The employers cannot stop you from resigning, as long as you fulfill the T&C. It is only true that it is hard to attend interviews when you have a job, but since you have already attended SI, there is anything to worry about except taking leave for medical check up. Just continue hunting for other jobs while waiting. Added on October 28, 2012, 11:41 amHey guys.. in the summary of benefits extracted from Executive Handbook sent to me along with my offer letter, it states that an executive who is based in East Malaysia will be paid a monthly EM allowance at 10% of his/ her basic salary. I am wondering does it also apply to East Malaysians who are working in EM? Or it is limited to those West Malaysians who relocate to EM? Inb4 asking the HRs on your own |

QUOTE(engrfeez @ Oct 29 2012, 11:22 PM) I just want to asking, let say if we have failed interview with Petronas are they banned us for 2 years because my friend told me about this and I want to verify. Yes, but dont use 'banned' as they only give you time to develop urself 1st in 2 years.mybe thy think u r nt ready for petronas.ths was wht they said at the end of my si session lst time. They only banned people who reject their job offer to you |
