Need clarifications on these:
1)How does a Final year non-UTP/Scholar student with above 3.00 cgpa be evaluated?
2)Is there such thing as apply before graduate?

thank you in advance

i think there's nothing wrong with calling and asking them about ur application status. at least, that would make them notice ur application rite? good luck bro.

Yes, I know several engineers on the process side of things who is working in Aramco. They were previosuly from MLNG and some from Penapisan Melaka/Kerteh so SKG16 (Process Tech) is also in demand from my company. I also know that more and more on the engineering side is coming over
*
that means more vacancies for new comers at MLNG? biggrin.gif btw, do engineers working at MLNG have the chance to go to field works( offshore)?i always thought that only those at carigali miri have that privilege hmm.gif

i think rm10 is worth it la based on present value. but now, if they pay at that amount, i guess no ppl will go there for intern.

i'd still do my internship at petronas even if they dont pay a single cent. Reputation is priceless. biggrin.gif

Talk to your immediate supervisor (manager, team leader etc) and inform him/her that you are interested to be absorbed as a permanent staff. That should get the ball rolling. I believe the manager needs to inform HR that he/she has a staff that needs to go through the permanent hire process. That's what I did when I was a manager before and one of my contract staff wanted to be absorbed as a permanent staff.

hi bro azraeil, how long does one need to request to be absorbed as permanent staff? sometimes the segregation/ division is quite obvious between contract/dire hired and permanent. i personally think this is not a healthy situation. what is your view on this? i believe it's either permanent or dont bother to hire at all. wink.gif

Hi guys,
Last year I was at the breaking point and wanted to leave this company.. It was a push factor actually. Cannot tolerate the 'yes boss' environment anymore. But I was never serious in finding new jobs.. I have been floating my CVs on various employment website since last year. This year, the environment is getting worse with the recent promotions of certain GMs and SMs. I still persevere.

Suddenly, I was called for an interview and I said to myself well just give it a try, no pressure. Then, I got the offer. The offer is not really lucrative. It is almost similar to what I am getting yearly (inclusive of bonuses) albeit higher. Medical benefit cannot compete with PET of course. However, looking at the job description, it is something new and different from what I am doing now. Seems exciting as it will involve new technology selection, etc.

But do I leave because of my current environment or I just need to hang in there? Or do I take this new opportunity but loosing some of the perks now?

One of my senior colleague used to tell me that, if you leave because of the environment, you will somehow end up in almost similar environment elsewhere. U will get frustrated again..it would be a vicious cycle then.

still dont know what shd I do.. sad.gif

i feel you bro. outsiders dont see the real working culture inside the company. what they see is the huge reputation hence they assumed everything will be a joyride. i was surprised how much "security" permanent staffs have on their back. no matter much they screwed up, boss wont take action. just a calm gentle reminder only. laugh.gif
