I know three chinese are the HOD in Petronas, and one of them have been working in Petrons for 20 years, I don't think if the environment is that awful you could stay there for 20 years.

You may not see many Chinese in twin towers, because majority of them are Bumi (quota maybe), I met some of them are actually very well-verse and capabale (As you would understand not all Chinese are hardworking either)

I do not know what's their salary range but I heard the bonus and medical coverage is good , except some of the Petronas staff complaint to me about the annual leave (about 14 - 16 days if I am not mistaken, for me is decent anyway)

Imagine Petronas could be in profit for quite some years consecutively, even when majority of them are Bumi, I am sure they only pick the good from the pool (Think about MAS who always loss in contrast).

Well , it took me 3 month to get my resume noticed by them, and 1 month after that , they called me again to schedule an interview. Prior to the f2f interview, u have to do online test about personality assessment. Aft 2 weeks, i called the hr about my application status, i was told rec to HR and waiting for the HR KL centre to call for med check up and aft that issuing offer letter. now 2 months  gone,i haven received their call from HR KL, i think there are too many candidates they have to handle.

who is the HR exec, is it mr f***i? based on reading the thread, i see some people are not getting reply even up to 6 months 

owh,.yeah maybe u shud call the manager, haha as exec usually don noe much..i think a month is still ok, coz my friend interviewed in march, just joined petronas a few days ago

i had finish my medical check up for petronas carigali (executive contract)..but yg sedihnya, i fail audiometry test..nak tnya, audiometry test efect ke employment petronas..risau takut diaorg x keluakn ofer leter sbb fail audimetry test tu..it just a simple prob rite =(... i bukan nya posting kat offshore pon

also had the same case study and role play..hahaha..what a coincidence right! 

i got a call from HR saying that i am recommended on 10th July 2012 and they will contact me if there's further development...

i was puzzled and confused..did i get the job or not..?

i called them everyday since 10th July, but the answer they give is the same everytime..

i can't sit tight not knowing the answer, whether i got the job or not... 

btw,what position did u apply?and did you called them for follow ups and updates?

i got call from PCSB HR last two weeks. She said that my reporting for duty is on 2nd September at Petronas kerteh..But untill today i didnt get any offer letter or guarantee letter to do the medical checkup. Do anyone know how long does it takes to prepare the offer letter? thank you.

but i thought normally the recruitment task is handling by HR in HQ ?
