Lowering your cholesterol is easy. Make sure you eat a proper meal. Avoid those fast foods and also avoid sugary stuff and don't eat durian ohh avoid eating any dishes with organs in it (liver, brains etc etc) avoid eating the skins as well. Now, you also need to realize that if your cholesterol level is high, you should take care of your body and change your eating habits and start exercising!

Can bro Azreil help answering my question?
Thanks bro.

Sorry, have not been able to visit LYN for a while. Been a bit busy lately and am in the States for a business trip.

To answer your question, I am not familiar with Petronas Motorsports so can't really help you there. But with 5 years experience, you should be aiming for E2 position.

I beg to differ. I got a fren had a second class lower div (under 3) and now he works at Tganu oredi, meanwhile I'm with second class upper div (3.42) still unemployed even though I sent 2 or 3 times my resume whenever my fren ask me to send it to Pet HR sweat.gif

It's a luck, partially. I asked him how he done that, he said that his resume has been made nicely.

2. Get own transport ( borrow from family) sweat.gif
3. The only thing that worry me now is how to ask for 1 day leave as I will have my convocation day on 22nd of september ( 1st week also want ponteng sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif )

Bro Azraeil (your name sounds familiar hehe...)

I guess it's from all the mutton during my previous assignment in the caspian region hehe...Interesting that they're willing to wait even if it takes me 3 months to get to the acceptance level of 5.2...I'll be on contract basis for 3 years and am thinking of re-negotiating my remuneration scheme (to include contractual bonus and yearly salary increment..Are they possible? Last month I've politely asked the HRM about this and the answer is "...at the Management discretion"...I think it's a standard HRM answer to that kind of queries...and yes i'm Musang King lover drool.gif Peace yoo icon_rolleyes.gif

Welcome back. Thanks for your reply.
Already went for the chit chat session with the GM of Petmos.
Went pretty well. Next, hoping to be called for SI.

@oshee, ahhh yes you need to stop eating Durians and those mutton/kambing dishes (at least until you pass the cholesterol level test).

You need to insist on the contractual bonus to be specifically included in the contract, otherwise Management Discretion just means no bonus.

Bro Azraeil,

yes, i must refrain from looking at all the durians along the hiway...The problem is I've confirmed via email that am agreed with the basic salary scheme...of course without signing the offer letter yet (which I'll once I passed the repeat med test)...the question is can i still nego on other remuneration t&c i.e contractual bonus and yearly salary increment? I think i should nego once I got the offer letter in my hand...

Hi all. I am expecting to join Petronas soon, however I have a question.

Considering Petronas is on a mass recruitment drive at the moment (some one mentioned 180++ for Sept PIPE session), how "reputable" my resume will be after a few years in Petronas? This is because I will be carrying the same company brand (albeit the differences in position/ assignments/ experience and so many other factors etc) as so many others out there.

Hmm. This one needs bro Azraeil to answer.

But IMHO, the word 'Petronas' itself will make your resume more valuable, hence higher salary, let say 50% increment, could be expected. Not to mention middle east's o&g companies that were said to favor professional Malaysians.

Yeah, I think bro Azraeil can provide us a better insight into it.

The word 'Petronas' itself does sound impressive as proven by my experience with friends/ relatives and lecturers who were in awe with my opportunity. But I am not sure how desirable it is viewed in terms of employment considering it is getting less and less "exclusive" with the hiring. I hope I make sense.

Bro, I think for young people it's about branding. If your start your career with a good branding/company, your resume will look good if you decide to leave the company.

I believe it's the same thing for you if I'm not mistaken before you move on to another job. Correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers.

yeah. i think considering that PETRONAS is one of the Fortune 500 company available, it'll give u a good career prospect giving that u want to leave and join another company in the future. n of course, we'll only leave PETRONAS for a better company rite.

@Kitteh,

There is no such thing as your experience being considered diluted due to the mass hiring. Your work experience is individual. As long as you have the righ attitude, not shy in asking your seniors relevant questions, willing to take challenging assignments and delivering your assignments on time and with quality work, then all other MNCs will be eager to hire you.

My company has around 80 Malaysian families and 50 of them are ex-Petronas, 10 ex-Shella and another 10 ex-Exxon. As you can see, Petronas staff are highly regarded in the industry. When I was offered the position with my current company, my salary package was 5 times higher than my Petronas salary. Now it will be about 2 times higher as Petronas has gone into an aggressive staff retention mode for those in critical skills group.

My company usually hires people with 10 years experience or more but have lowered it down to 6 years for Malaysian as we have shown them that we are extremely capable in doing the jobs.

Get as much experience as you can while in Petronas. I will forever be grateful to Petronas for giving me the opportunity to gain experience in the industry and I have to say that the staff development program that they have in Petronas is world class.

Good Luck.

Did they call you for the medical check up? I passed my SI mid september and I handed in my offer letter with all the relevant documents last week. So, I guess most likely they will put you into the december session. smile.gif

Hi all,

I went to chit-chat session (TA) last Friday and still waiting for feedback on whether I'm recommended for SI.
Or should i call the HRM straight up regarding this matter?

Ya, I am extremely grateful to Petronas for giving me a chance to kick start my career in this industry as a fresh graduate. I will heed your advice and absorb as much knowledge and experience as I can.
