relax..petronas HR memang slow..

I had to wait for 1 month to be called for SI after submitting declaration form.

had to wait another 1 month to be called for CBI (they didn't do my SI and CBI together).

a week after the CBI, asked them if I'm recommended, they said yes.

had to wait another 3 months to be called to come for medical checkup.

on the day I'm supposed to do the medical checkup, didn't receive my medical checkup letter (the letter you give to the hospital in order for them to charge Petronas instead of paying yourself) until I ARRIVED at the hospital.

then only got my offer letter.

I attended PGB SI last 3 weeks and today I got a call from the HR asking me to do med checkup next week on monday at pusrawi. The HR staff didn't mention about the offer letter or getting hired etc. She just mentioned about the medical checkup. so, I'm wondering whether I really got the job or not? FYI, I am a finance freshgrad. When i attended the SI, they didn't specifically mention the position im applying for. They just put Executive in the form. tq in advance people

Some people waited for 6 months or forever. I was lucky in the sense that everything happened faster than expected. You can do what I do - accept other offer first then resign when your Petronas offer arrives.

eventho they are quite slow, but I think we should be glad and thankful to them on the other side, bcoz they are really trying to process all new offers / salary appeal / payroll / etc for not only 2 or 3 persons. In my case, I have to wait 5 months to get the offer letter....peace

i have not received any email from the HR. should i give them a call?

good la.. i also wished i could just wait but at last, signed another offer.. now, headache thinking of resigning and facing my supervisor

I know your feeling bro...I also just joined the company and I had to tender my resignation letter after I get offer letter from Petronas. Luckily 1 month before that, I refused to go for training that will cost me being bonded with current company for 2 years..hahaha

i think there's nothing wrong with calling and asking them about ur application status. at least, that would make them notice ur application rite? good luck bro.

that means more vacancies for new comers at MLNG?  btw, do engineers working at MLNG have the chance to go to field works( offshore)?i always thought that only those at carigali miri have that privilege
