Yup. I'd rather they give Tekken Tag Tournament 2 WiiU port and Pokémon Star than Pokken WiiU and 240p Pokémon games.

I was this close to getting a wiiu for Pokken, glad I didn't as the far superior version will be out for the Switch.
It's pretty much all I can ask for this Nintendo Direct announcement 1. Pokken DX released, with all the DLC from the arcade version + Decidueye (best gen 7 starter) 2. I don't even have to wait that long, as it'll be released in September 3. Pokken was the driving force for me to get a Switch, just like Kingdom hearts 3 was the driving force for me to get PS3 and PS4. Luckily, Nintendo delivers unlike SquareEnix. As for Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon. I hope the post league content will be a lot better. Now, for them to announce Smash for E3 haha. This post has been edited by LegendLee: Jun 6 2017, 11:30 PM |

On Pokemon international website they actually put the game available on Switch platform as well, but TBA and then removes it completely.
Most were disappointed cuz it didn't come to Switch, as for Pokken those who bought the Wii U version probably won't buy it again, meh. Maybe some surprise on E3, not long now anyway. |

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Jun 7 2017, 12:37 AM) I'm sure they will reach stable 60fps this time. On Wii U it was mostly 60fps.. sometimes it falls short sadly.I'd like to get it again tbh.. but budget wise, I think i'll look at some other games, cuz i've fully played it to the max last time |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jun 7 2017, 08:09 AM) It's actually something that they need to do, to keep the 3ds selling. Because Nintendo isn't making much games for it now. Logical why it's for 3DS only. |

The mainline game since Diamond and Pearl has always been a dual-screen experience with more than a few of the game mechanics relying on it. Pokemon "Star" is an update to Sun/Moon, as such was never gonna end up on the Switch. If a mainline Pokemon game was gonna be on the switch it would have to be something entirely new with an overhauled design and mechanics. A lot of people went into this with WAY TOO high an expectation but I guess the clerical error didn't help either. |

Yup basically echoes what I said earlier perfectly.
Nintendo has been making all the right moves since release, it's time for them to make their shares of shit ones now. Started with the photo of that shitty voice-chat monstrosity and now, the Pokemon missed opportunity. The comment section of this video, make sure you don't have hypertension or high blood pressure, too much salt. |

yup, not THAT Pokemon.
Game Freaks has always been known to be stubbornly "traditional", and they're notorious for being slow to adopt towards better equipped platforms. Heh, even Pokken was passed on to Bandai Namco to deal with high-rezzing the graphics (still sub-720p with rollercoasting framerate Managing expectations isn't the issue here, insiders at the much "livelier" and "insightful" NeoGAF forum (compared to this place) had indicated that the new Switch Pokemon is almost confirmed to be coming, and the general reaction to this Direct is the reason why it is. If it is reported by the much reputable Eurogamer/Digital Foundry, I don't what else you can rely on insider news these days. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Jun 7 2017, 04:09 PM |

game freak never is a publisher for any pokemon game. they just devs for the mainline. spinoff is handled by other devs as game freak never involved in developing those since 1st ever spinoff title (which should be pokemon tcg)
mystery dungeon? spike chunsoft stadium? Nintendo EAD snap? HAL ranger? HAL/creatures edit: also everyone should know better on not believing 100% what insider say regarding unannounced stuff, except ubisoft-related. it's already obvious all the leaks before switch release comes from ubisoft staff as source. also as much as eurogamer is trustable, ppl still waiting for that mother 3 localization to exist lol This post has been edited by kuroneko0509: Jun 7 2017, 04:49 PM |

Also the hopes of Pokemon Stars coming to the Switch is still there. Just because they deny Ultra isn't coming doesn't mean Stars won't make it either. Another remake would be fine as well. Looks like they are milking a lot lately on the Pokemon franchise anyway, might as well milk it more.
Just waiting if Nintendo is planning for a successor for the 3ds or just stick with the Switch. If no successor for sure the mainline Pokemon game will come at some point. |
