QUOTE(stringfellow @ Apr 21 2017, 02:53 PM) Ready for MK8D. All Amiibos ready and prepped. Question is, into the PowerTag or the 200-bankful N2 Elite? For what? A bunch of costumes for your Mii character? That's hardly anything to get excited over.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The N2 Elite would be perfect if it has an LCD display showing what Amiibo you're flipping through in its 200 banks. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Apr 21 2017, 04:20 PM) Why do you care? What's exciting to you may not be exciting to me. I for one dont go bitching about your yellow Joy-con post. Calm your tits dude, I was criticizing Nintendo's lackluster amiibo rewards for MK8D. You don't have to feel so personally attacked by it. Jeez. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Apr 21 2017, 05:09 PM) Calm your own assumption as well. Has the Amiibo unlocks been finalised as well, and are they just cosmetic and not power-ups? If Nintendo can lock weapons and armor sets behind pieces of plastic, what makes you think they cant do it in MK8D? Think. From Nintendo's Website. (Has a list of compatible amiibos)As for their lackluster Amiibo rewards, that's good news for everyone. The less Nintendo use those shitty pieces of plastic in their games the better. They're treading onto thin ice when they're start locking stuff behind them. First cosmetic, then unfair advantages with powerups (in BOTW). http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/games/detai...8-deluxe-switch No mention of power-ups or the sort. So you do agree the rewards for MK8D are lackluster Also, I think you're stretching it a bit calling the amiibo rewards in BOTW unfair. It's a single player RPG, making the game easier or harder for yourself is totally up to you. Nothing "unfair" about it. And those cosmetics are a nice additions for hardcore fans of the series. They don't really add or detract anything from the game and for us casual fans serves nothing more than as hollow rewards. |

QUOTE(MattAces @ Apr 22 2017, 09:42 PM) Switch is like a second class citizen... Not only it is treated like a joke from AAA developers, indie developers aren't prioritizing it either. Maybe.....or...more likely.....This is the main reason why devs are having a hard time porting to NSJust played Portal Knight demo on PS4, really enjoyed it. Steam version RM23, both version releasing end of this month. So naturally I went and google Switch version, there is a Switch version, hooray, with unannounced date and the developer said won't be so soon. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-03-...-more-expensive "Well, we've heard that the cost of manufacturing a Nintendo Switch game is higher than the cost of making a PS4, PC or Xbox One game, because the cartridges the Switch uses cost more to make than Blu-ray discs." "But why would a Nintendo Switch game cost more on the Nintendo eShop? Digital games, after all, are just a download. There's no need to factor in costly cart manufacture with an eShop game. Well, we've heard that Nintendo's policy is that Switch eShop games should cost the same as their physical versions, in a bid to keep bricks and mortar shops on-side. A shop such as GAME, for example, is unlikely to go all in on a Switch game if you can download it for half the price instead." "So, we end up in a situation such as Rime, where the game costs £39.99 on Nintendo Switch physical and digital, when the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions cost just £29.99 physical and digital. "Rime isn't the only game to suffer from this problem, by the way. Puyo Puyo Tetris, from publisher Koch, costs £34.99 on Nintendo Switch both physically and digitally. It costs £24.99 on PS4." I don't think that devs hate NS, I think it's just Nintendo shooting themselves in the foot again. This post has been edited by angelaers: Apr 23 2017, 01:05 PM |

QUOTE(MattAces @ Apr 23 2017, 01:15 PM) This is a very classic Nintendo move though. What's weird in this whole situation is cartridge based gaming is not a new thing, granted that past console always uses 4~8gb max cartridge, but damn, charging $10 extra for each cartridge seems too much. Also not only Rime is charging that extra $10, the release date for Switch is also pushed back to an undisclosed date. Here is some extra tid bit from the article."We've also heard that the cost of the cart depends on the size of the cart. Switch game card carts come in a variety of capacities: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. At a high level, the bigger the cart the more expensive it is, although the price may vary according to print run (lower the volume, higher the price, for example - an issue that may affect indie developers who don't expect to shift a huge number of copies of their game)." So it can cost more than just £10 with bigger AAA games. |

QUOTE(MattAces @ Apr 27 2017, 08:24 PM) Got it from HeavyArms? Weird that they are taking stock from Japan? That Japan title looks really cool though. Hmm...Isn't the Japanese rating CERO not ESRB...Impulses' copy doesn't have that japanese title. Edit: ![]() This post has been edited by angelaers: Apr 27 2017, 08:52 PM |

QUOTE(nill @ Apr 27 2017, 10:42 PM) Or Sony Malaysia. I don't like the day one Malaysia price because Sony Malaysia have to recoup the so called free PSN MY 3 months subscriptions cost. Holy shit! Totally forgot about the online subscription. Wonder if that's tied to region? If my Mario Kart 8 is from JPN would my US online subscription work? Does that mean I have to get 2 subscription? Digital games is looking more risky than ever...Luckily Nintendo don't have an online subscription programme yet. If not, our Switch bundle will be RM1.8k with free 3 months subscriptions B.S. |

If you're experiencing bad WiFi connection with your Switch just stop playing it near an aquarium.
