So you do agree the rewards for MK8D are lackluster

Also, I think you're stretching it a bit calling the amiibo rewards in BOTW unfair. It's a single player RPG, making the game easier or harder for yourself is totally up to you. Nothing "unfair" about it.

And those cosmetics are a nice additions for hardcore fans of the series. They don't really add or detract anything from the game and for us casual fans serves nothing more than as hollow rewards.

Here is some extra tid bit from the article.

At a high level, the bigger the cart the more expensive it is, although the price may vary according to print run (lower the volume, higher the price, for example - an issue that may affect indie developers who don't expect to shift a huge number of copies of their game)."

So it can cost more than just £10 with bigger AAA games.

Holy shit! Totally forgot about the online subscription. Wonder if that's tied to region? If my Mario Kart 8 is from JPN would my US online subscription work? Does that mean I have to get 2 subscription? Digital games is looking more risky than ever...
