Should I wait tomorrow to cancel this card? Or wait until cashback reflected in cimbclicks?

assuming your statement date is 28th, you wont get the cashback tomorrow.

the cashback would be on 29 Oct, viewable in cimbclicks on 30 Oct, clear the final outstanding (minus cashback), then call CS to terminate the card.

do ensure you are not expecting any refunds from your online purchases.

The final outstanding minus cashback, that one is the current statement cashback only right?
The last month statement cashback can be use to pay the final outstanding?

whichever way you go, you still have this month's outstanding to clear.

your method, is also ok, but you're forfeiting your cb this month.

Hi guys,

I received in my mail 2 credit cards from CIMB. Looks like my agent who helped me to get my housing loan (received from CIMB) also sent credit card application to CIMB without me knowing.

From the looks of it, I got both the normal card with platinum marking (cash rebate) as well as the card for petronas. Are these card worth it to activate/use? Both are Mastercard.

I already have Maybank 2 Cards Amex + Mastercard. How do I cancel these cards if I don't plan to use?

Thanks

Just read again your reply now I get it. I thought you were saying final outstanding (minus cashback) is don't count cb for the final outstanding lol.

I plan to do the same. But if they delay the posting date to 1st Nov, then we get nothing right? 🤔

The 5% cashback will be ended on 31 October, I wonder it is based on txn date or posting date.
