QUOTE(dh13 @ Oct 28 2017, 10:45 PM) Called to CIMB and confirmed that based on transaction date. and the limit of CR still RM30.. (if you able to utilized RM600 in these 3 days) Thanks. Just did my last online transactions on Lazada with these cards. Called to cancel some of my supplementary cards and got different treatment: 1. First 4 cards (for each card) - I was offered RM15 to keep the card for one more year + RM15 if I spent RM200 within a month. 2. Next 3 cards - terminated immediately, no attempt to retain me. I've completed the RM200 spending for the first 4 cards. Hope to see my (RM15 x 2 x 4) = RM120 soon!

I also have Hong Leong card . 0.6% Cb. Now this 0.2% omg....

Guys, my last statement was RM 2600, after cash rebate of RM 30, i paid in full RM 2570 (thinking everything was fine). Then today when i received my October statement, i saw a financial charge of RM 29!!!! I called Customer service and argued, why was this as i paid in full but they replied because i didnt pay full as in statement balance? Is it true??? THen i calculate for them, i am paying short of rm30 and got a rm29 financial charge?! Thats almost 100% interest

For the first RM 15 (for keeping the card for one more year), if the cardholder chooses to cancel CIMB Cash Rebate card anytime between the second month and a year, will CIMB claw back the first RM 15 from the cardholder?

I have no idea, but since it has no annual fee, all I'm doing is tracking the date I called to cancel, lock cards in drawer, then cancel after that date. Not an issue.

Do you think what they are saying is true ?? Can the financial charge really be waived?

Thats almost 100% interest It's always best to just pay the statement balance, the cashback you earned use it to knock off your new statement's balance.

I do recommend switching to other cards if you can since benefits being cut and really the cashback is getting more annoying.

Just bought something at Lazada for RM 942. If CIMB doesn't honour cash back based on transaction date, I will try to argue.
