Hello guys, i have just applied and got approved of this CIMB platinum cash back credit card.  As this is my first credit card, i am wondering will i be charged interest for every transaction i made with this card?

What is the difference between using this card and the debit card apart from the cashback rebate and other benefits??

So if i pay full on each statement date, it is safe to say it will be just like a debit card?

I called CIMB CS regarding some matters and also to check regarding PTPTN.

The CS say PTPTN paid at the PTPTN office falls under other retail spend at 0.2% CB. meanwhile PTPTN paid online is 5% under online spending.

I think the revised T&C on government services does not change anything for PTPTN payment and CB

The 0.2% cashback on other retail spending -- does it include ptptn payment via counter? Does anybody know?

Mind to share the worst case scenario if I didn't pay it in full?

Example: my outstanding balance is RM1,000 but i only pay RM500

How much the penalty? Per anum or daily?

Quick query on the date range of the cashback.. is it from statement to statement, or based on calendar month?

Cause got a purchase incoming, might want to take adv of a promo ending 30 Apr. Statement appears on 28 Apr - cap RM30 met already for April.

Guys,  I have been using CIMB CB since 2015, and through out that period there are several times where I paid less than statement balance and only pay the remaining outstanding. In fact I did that too last month and I was never been charged with finance charges.  But today I saw that there is finance charges. 

Is there anyone here doing the same thing as I did?

Let you guys know tomorrow whether payment to TM via their portal entitled for any cashback.

Payment to PTPTN via PTPTN portal no longer earn 5% CB under online/e-commerce category.

The CB I received for the payment I made on April 1st is way lesser than I expected.

Really need to check if UOB YOLO can earn CB for PTPTN.
