Not a fan of Lazada. laugh.gif

I'm not as well but for if I shop locally, Lazada will be my first choice as it has more varieties. If I have a choice, I will still choose Taobao. tongue.gif

Lazada UI is not nice.
I prefer 11street.

Some of the stuff in 11 Street are more expensive but usually I compare these two sites first before buying. tongue.gif
But if this CIMB Lazada card is real and if it offers some discounts, then LZD will be cheaper. tongue.gif

Oh crap. Just saw the revision. doh.gif Luckily this month I paid PTPTN with my AmEx. So I will really appreciate if anyone who has used for this month can report back by end of the month.

Dilemma. I want to know but I'm worried if I call them, it will trigger the unnecessary...

Did credit card able to withdraw money from ATM?

Avoid by all means, interest is calculated on daily basis. We never use credit cards to withdraw money.

Hello guys, i have just applied and got approved of this CIMB platinum cash back credit card.  As this is my first credit card, i am wondering will i be charged interest for every transaction i made with this card? hmm.gif

What is the difference between using this card and the debit card apart from the cashback rebate and other benefits??
*
No interest will be charged unless you don't pay on time or not full payment.

Significant difference is you use now and pay later.

So if i pay full on each statement date, it is safe to say it will be just like a debit card?

Thanks for the input, Fruitie! smile.gif
*
Yes, pay on time, pay full and don't use it to withdraw cash then you are good to go. Welcome to CC world. tongue.gif
By the way, you just need to pay the amount stated in your statement before due date.

I called CIMB CS regarding some matters and also to check regarding PTPTN.

The CS say PTPTN paid at the PTPTN office falls under other retail spend at 0.2% CB. meanwhile PTPTN paid online is 5% under online spending.

I think the revised T&C on government services does not change anything for PTPTN payment and CB

The 0.2% cashback on other retail spending -- does it include ptptn payment via counter? Does anybody know?
*
Yes. But can pay online, may still get 5% cash back if they didn't remove it out after some revision.

Mind to share the worst case scenario if I didn't pay it in full?

Example: my outstanding balance is RM1,000 but i only pay RM500

How much the penalty? Per anum or daily?

Thanks
*
I'm very bad in this part, maybe others can advise but I know interest is counted on daily basis.

Quick query on the date range of the cashback.. is it from statement to statement, or based on calendar month?

Cause got a purchase incoming, might want to take adv of a promo ending 30 Apr. Statement appears on 28 Apr - cap RM30 met already for April.
*
It's based on posting date from 29th of current month to following month's 28th.

Guys,  I have been using CIMB CB since 2015, and through out that period there are several times where I paid less than statement balance and only pay the remaining outstanding. In fact I did that too last month and I was never been charged with finance charges.  But today I saw that there is finance charges.

Is there anyone here doing the same thing as I did?
*
It has been repeated and reminded for few times that CIMB doesn't consider cash back as payment.
Yes, some got off but some didn't. I remember someone mentioned before there's a maximum amount can be offset without charged with financial charges.

Best is to avoid doing it.

Payment to PTPTN via PTPTN portal no longer earn 5% CB under online/e-commerce category. mad.gif

The CB I received for the payment I made on April 1st is way lesser than I expected. vmad.gif

Really need to check if UOB YOLO can earn CB for PTPTN. doh.gif

Oh damn. Thanks for sharing. I just wanted to try AmEx this month and spent on AmEx instead but that means I have no choice but to spend RM 327 on my AmEx. cry.gif
