Any cc will give 5% from celcom side if u opt for auto billing. Well i'm gonna cut this cc coz my application for quantum has been approved. Salary below 36k cannot hold more than 2 cards what to do

May I know did u apply quantum card online? How long they process your application?

Not two cards but two banks' cards. So if you only have CIMB and PBB, then it's OK.

Yeah you right. Got maybank and cimb right now. Will cancel cimb after end of statement date

I'm also using Celcom, but have changed my Auto Debit to SCB Gold. I still get the auto billing rebate of 5%. Any particular reason to stick to CIMB CR?
*
for statement balance below 3K, will stil get 2% cash back as per existing. So to me this the only transaction that will still exist in my CIMB cash back card

For any other things in weekend...there's always be my 5% amex (whenever acceptable)

While for whatever 2%....cant wait to get my hands on my new barcelona card

i have the feeling cimb will revise this benefit again soon

I just applied UOB Yolo at a roadshow in MyTown to replace the benefits of this CIMB CR. Will most likely keep the card since there is no cost .

Hmm. CIMB gives additional 2%?

If switch to MBB FCB VS, should be entitled for the 2% as well? since there is no restriction on the cashback categories.

Hi all, question here
Currently CIMB CR Platinum is the only card I have...and my monthly spending is mostly on the following items:
Jaya Grocer/Tesco - avg 300-400/mo
Shell - avg 200-300/mo
Umobile - Pay from Umobile website - is this standing instruction? 60/mo
Unifi - Pay with CIMB Clicks pay bill 180/mo - which category?
Popular (physical shop) - avg 100-200/mo

some non-recurring items like
exabytes
godaddy
bookdepository (US/UK) - online?
are these online spending or others?

How does the new policy affect me? I tried to backward calculate which items fall into which category 2% or 5% but never seem to be accurately done. My brain cannot process that much lol. Basically I'm those kind of simply swipe.

If the new policy is going to be unchanged at 2% for most of the things I'm currently using (groceries, petrol, mobile) and others 0.2% like popular, then it doesn't affect me much?

I do not shop online very frequently. Tesco e-shop consider online?

Good point. Then no point keeping CIMB CR for Celcom users.

To me, the most attractive selling point of this card is the online cash rebate which is not there anymore
So no more point for me to keep this card
Adios cimb
