QUOTE(celaw @ Apr 22 2017, 08:01 AM) For RM30 cash back under the campaign, you may still get it. There may still quota left.. Cannot, as this was for Week 6 (part of my 8x swipes on 10 April). I already completed my Week 7 8x swipes on 17 April. The hotel only charged my card on 20 April, so this falls within Week 7. Nevermind, I always have to remind myself that CB is extra money.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Apr 21 2017, 07:53 AM) I made 3 (advance purchase) bookings via Hilton Hotel App, but sadly they are NOT online transactions, and, the hotel only manually processed the transaction yesterday (which means my Week 6 cashback will be reduced to only RM20 instead of RM50). Generally I think hotel reservations are hit-and-miss in terms of receiving online cashback. I know Agoda "pay now" is regarded as an online transaction, but there are so many variations depending on which platform you use, and the agreement between the online portal and the individual hotel. Anyway, lesson learned. Total losses = RM180 (as I used 3 supp cards to get the RM50 6% cashback each, plus a loss of RM30 promo cashback for my Week 6). If there is TAC Issued and confirmed, should be considered online transaction? This post has been edited by tonytyk: Apr 22 2017, 10:29 AM

QUOTE(tonytyk @ Apr 22 2017, 10:29 AM) Was there TAC issued during booking? If there is TAC Issued and confirmed, should be considered online transaction? No TAC. But the app said "advance purchase.. Pay now.. Non refundable etc". But when I called up Hilton CS, they said that for many hotels, the charges are manually done by the hotel. The arrangements differ according to hotel and no way for customer to know. To be safe, I wouldnt use my PBB VS for this anymore. Many overseas online sites don't require TAC for the transaction to be online. For example, agoda, PayPal and Amazon. Also things carried out via many Apps. No TAC, but still online. In reality, they do not have a payment system attached to their booking system. Instead they do the manual through the cc terminal. Its not a payment either. More like advance deposit which can only be reverted by them. They will charge your card properly when you check in. They also use the same method to ask for your deposit which will be reversed after you check out.

However, it was done manually. I can ready see RM9k+ on my unbilled transactions even though I'm only checking in in July. I also booked Shangri-la around the same time through their website. For that one, they will only charge me the full amount on the check in date or if "no show". Since we can never know, there's a huge risk using an online card. Will use Amex or HLB Fortune in the future. At least can get 1%CB or 5x treat points.

My Quantum Visa credit card was not issued together with Quantum Mastercard. I went to PBB branch to collect on 21 April 2017. Called customer service said there was a problem with Visa card.
My online payment at Digi website using Quantum Mastercard was failed. Anyone still faces the same issue of online payment/purchase using Quantum Mastercard? Thanks

I was provided with the receipt that didn't required a signature, and then a real slit which I had to sign for the same amount. I can't really remember too well since it was almost a year ago.

a lot of hotels are considered like "mail-order" transactions. remember those brochures you get in your credit card statement offering goods in lower prices if u pay via installments? they have a form you have to fill in and then they will process it manually. it is the same as some hotels. they collect your details and process it later. thus not considered online transactions.
kickstarter payments is also the same. i called the bank and they told me it is considered mail-order and not online.
