a lot of hotels are considered like "mail-order" transactions. remember those brochures you get in your credit card statement offering goods in lower prices if u pay via installments? they have a form you have to fill in and then they will process it manually. it is the same as some hotels. they collect your details and process it later. thus not considered online transactions.

kickstarter payments is also the same. i called the bank and they told me it is considered mail-order and not online.

probably they changed their payment system. i was wondering how come my cashback was so little and realized the kickstarter charges was not entitled and called to enquire. can't appeal despite the transaction reading kickstarter.com

i also tried luck...submitted on april 10th and got approved on 24th.

each banks have their own risk criteria to approve your credit card or loans.
