QUOTE(afza @ Apr 21 2017, 01:23 PM)
People always forget that when you are transacting data, there are always more contributing factors to the "speed" of the network. We always blame our providers as they are here and near.

No one even consider the condition of the host server, traffic "speed" of the various hops that the data going through before it even land in Malaysia's gateway and then travel through our provider network before ending on our devices. I believe, the data that travels through various network were charge by respective network provider, and it was not cheap.

Imagine how much Webe (or TM) have to pay to, let say Verizon or NTT or BT or SingTel, to have the data transferred through their network so that the traffic will have the least hops and arrive faster to Malaysia. It will be costly to transfer data from foreign server than the server in Malaysia. Thats why Malaysia have tried (not sure how much effort) to have those service to host in Malaysia so the cost could be lessen. If Google could host their services (Youtube, Gmail etc.) in Malaysia, we'll be having smallest ping and whooping speed irregardless of whatever provider we use. Same goes to the gaming services that we played online.

Our provider can only manage the "speed" in their network only. They can boost, prioritize and separate it into dedicated channel to improve specific service. They can't do that for every incoming traffic. Network congestion are very delicate to handle. But at some point, the infrastructure will be overwhelm (in Webe case, using the mobile data for non mobile things) and they can only mitigate it up to some point where infrastructure had to be upgrade.

When they enter this phase, you can't expect the provider to magically resolve the congestion in a blink (or a day or a week or a month). They need to prepare expansion proposal, get the approval, procure the infra, deliver the infra, install the infra, test the infra then they may commission it to public. All this infrastructure expansion and upgrades cost time and money, A LOT OF MONEY.

So, be considerate when you complaint. It can be the provider fault, it can be the hosting service fault, it can be intermediary network provider fault that you have "slow" stream of movies or bad ping playing WoW etc.

Sorry for your time,

but even digi infinite 80 5Mbps is better than Webe limiting the streaming speed to 2Mbps... For less than double the price, can stream even 4K

just jump to others operators if not satisfied with ur current operator. MNP is here for you.

u keep banging the same problematic operator, expecting royalty treatment and miracles to happen, it won't resolve the issues any faster.

Agree with you that there is no perfect telco which can deliver all the time. I also have hotlink (Maxis claims to have the widest 4g coverage) and sometimes signal also drops from 4G to 2G. So far I am satisfied with webe. Despite constant drop to 3g and need to manually search network again to connect to 4g, I'm not really complaining. They promise UNLIMITED DATA, not UNLIMITED SPEED. And as a new company, it is not fair to compare webe to other telcos. Even UMOBILE is still struggling with congestion and poor coverage after operating for quite some time.

What's wrong with customer airing their difficulties? Whether it's technically issue or server or host or whatever, it's telco job handle it. They have their equal chance to explain.
On the other hand, even telco updating with the latest tech, new problem will arise including slow speed. Customer will therefore complain again. It'll just keeps on continuing the same cycle. This is also the only way telco will improve and constantly update their system.
If u can't handle the complain, then don't get into service industry.

If your home, workplace, hometown, lepak places got good webe 4G and 3G. Go for it. Its cheap, its reliable Eventhough speed barely more than 2Mbps on average ( and you dont mind coz in the same time you will utilize the unlimited call, data and sms). Go for it..webem will be very value for money

If not, please consider other operators..

Webe is still a new telco, give them some time. They are trying their best to improve the service quality. Maybe by end of this year it will improve to much more better.

What does this graph tell? Their whole network only capable of 110Mbps? laugh.gif

Should pin this post. So everyone understand. It think the quality of the network should be measure on ping and packet lost. Speed is just inconclusive. But I think webe did fulfill their promise with 3 CA. Because previously when I do speed test it never more then 15mbps quite surprisingly they deliver

110Mbps is the theoretical speed that can be achieved from a telco base station. The overall Webe network is capable up to terabytes of speed.

SO far there isn't any technology to aggregate TDD and FDD LTE networks together. I am not sure what claim did you base on to say webe is doing CA on its network for some areas.
