who da hell care how much money they need to maintain the infra. if cannot sustain just get out of the business la. be considerate when complain? can they be considerate when collecting our money? if network congested why keep on accepting new applicant?
*
What he is trying to say is that it will take some time to address the network congestion issue of certain area. As users are always on the move, it's hard to keep the service quality strictly at tight standard.
If you can't wait for the network congestion to be addressed, you always have the choice to go over to another less congested service provider. (Unless you're saying about Unifi, that's monopoly and it's another story)

Should pin this post. So everyone understand. It think the quality of the network should be measure on ping and packet lost. Speed is just inconclusive. But I think webe did fulfill their promise with 3 CA. Because previously when I do speed test it never more then 15mbps quite surprisingly they deliver
*
SO far there isn't any technology to aggregate TDD and FDD LTE networks together. I am not sure what claim did you base on to say webe is doing CA on its network for some areas.

They have to do it this way because they don't want their home fixed broadband to be marginalised. I guess the ideal for TM is that everyone subscribes its Unifi at home and webe for every family member on the go. Greedy huh...

left pocket, right pocket

obviously they thought it thru by TM/unifi take one segment and webe take another segment, without both cannibalizing each other.

TM always been shouting convergence, sooner or later both products would be more tightly integrated, e.g. converged services like mobile+fixed+iptv
*
Of course they are re the champion of convergence in this country, because nobody else is depending on taxpayer fund to build out the fiber network and also got the dominant, if not exclusive right to use the asset.

I don't recall the T&C mention anything about using on USB modem. Rather it was forumer says they are able to use it on USB modem without being blocked.
*
It is too much hassle to use its service with restrictions. Just let the market speaks and it shall repent.

Hopefully it doesn't end up to be like Pro***, to seek protection from government so that it can stay in advantage from the competition.

other telco is not that aggressive, so far webe is the one i heard being too aggressive to users.
*
The culture just isn't right. It sounds like users need to be lectured all the time...

I will refrain from taking this Telco until there is change in the way they treat customer.

Don't care.

They dig their own grave. whistling.gif
Slower speed & no improvement.
Better roll out faster new spectrum that can cover LTE Band 5 slow speed. 20Mbps is not enough for user to stream. Congest is really pain... sad.gif

Speed > coverage

Deswai other telco don't want to implement Band 5 bandwidth.. doh.gif
*
20mbps is not enough for streaming? Then how do the streamyx subscribers survive? laugh.gif

150GB - 300GB per 30 days is considered as average user. Lesser than that is considered as light user. More than that is considered as heavy user.
*
So this definition is based on where?

Don’t you know it is still the same company that monopolizes the fixed broadband market by large? Don’t you know that it always use the same tricks to bind early birds with contracts and offer much cheaper packages to new subscribers, just like how their home broadband?

Don’t trust the company which can’t even properly implement the ‘thank you surprise’.

I just port out from Webe, used it only 2 weeks. For KL area and my apartment, the speed is inconsistence and slow. No point the package is unlimited but slow. Maybe will need to wait them to beef up coverage before port in again.
*
TM needs to accept the fact that it does not enjoy the exclusiveness in mobile services market and improves the services in meeting the market’s demand. ‘Take it or leave it’ will not work like it’s fixed broadband arm.

Most mobile network provider blocks port it seems except for maxis broadband

if your CCTV using cloud like Xiaomi  then no problem to view/access the camera

One solution is to use VPN, I use this on Digi infinity and was able to view CCTV feeds and other portfowarded services
Should also work with webe
*
It is not necessarily due to blocking but because of ‘double NAT’ issue. In other word, you might have port forwarded the necessary port from your router to the IP but from the IP it is not forwarded up to higher IP. Basically the ip you’re using on mobile data connection is a shared of one or a range of IP originated from ISP.

Care to share how you configured your router without vpn?
*
No I am not the one configuring the VPN to make remote CCTV viewing works. It’s some other people.

I realised this when I was trying out the Digi infinite plan, intending to replace the old shitty streamyx.

I meant how do you configure to monitor CCTV or any stuff that needs portforwarding without VPN on digi infinity
I already am using VPN which is why I'm curious how you do it without one
*
Err I think I said I did not do it for broadband over cellular network?

My current setup is to port forward the CCTV service with streamyx home broadband.
