QUOTE(hackwire @ Apr 10 2017, 12:41 PM) I wanted to move out soon, but i want to know the bottom of their services and what caused this problem. i don't know if this is the solution for it. My friend using webe has the same issue like yours. Can't call in but data is fine. He went over to tm point and change a new SIM CARD and now everything works like a charm. No harm on trying plus they did not charge for sim card exchanges. Hopes this help.im still with webe , week 2 of complaint already. my customers are using whatapps to contact me now. their data was fine. just that they couldn't called me . |

QUOTE(afza @ Apr 21 2017, 02:23 PM) People always forget that when you are transacting data, there are always more contributing factors to the "speed" of the network. We always blame our providers as they are here and near. Should pin this post. So everyone understand. It think the quality of the network should be measure on ping and packet lost. Speed is just inconclusive. But I think webe did fulfill their promise with 3 CA. Because previously when I do speed test it never more then 15mbps quite surprisingly they deliverNo one even consider the condition of the host server, traffic "speed" of the various hops that the data going through before it even land in Malaysia's gateway and then travel through our provider network before ending on our devices. I believe, the data that travels through various network were charge by respective network provider, and it was not cheap. Imagine how much Webe (or TM) have to pay to, let say Verizon or NTT or BT or SingTel, to have the data transferred through their network so that the traffic will have the least hops and arrive faster to Malaysia. It will be costly to transfer data from foreign server than the server in Malaysia. Thats why Malaysia have tried (not sure how much effort) to have those service to host in Malaysia so the cost could be lessen. If Google could host their services (Youtube, Gmail etc.) in Malaysia, we'll be having smallest ping and whooping speed irregardless of whatever provider we use. Same goes to the gaming services that we played online. Our provider can only manage the "speed" in their network only. They can boost, prioritize and separate it into dedicated channel to improve specific service. They can't do that for every incoming traffic. Network congestion are very delicate to handle. But at some point, the infrastructure will be overwhelm (in Webe case, using the mobile data for non mobile things) and they can only mitigate it up to some point where infrastructure had to be upgrade. When they enter this phase, you can't expect the provider to magically resolve the congestion in a blink (or a day or a week or a month). They need to prepare expansion proposal, get the approval, procure the infra, deliver the infra, install the infra, test the infra then they may commission it to public. All this infrastructure expansion and upgrades cost time and money, A LOT OF MONEY. So, be considerate when you complaint. It can be the provider fault, it can be the hosting service fault, it can be intermediary network provider fault that you have "slow" stream of movies or bad ping playing WoW etc. Sorry for your time, Just an IT guy. *when you pay peanut, you'll get peanut. QUOTE(Hummingbird @ Apr 23 2017, 11:05 PM) SO far there isn't any technology to aggregate TDD and FDD LTE networks together. I am not sure what claim did you base on to say webe is doing CA on its network for some areas. https://www.lowyat.net/2016/120807/webe-aim...d-lte-channels/Here's the arcticle. |

I think it's a nice move from webe to force other telco to compete. And makes us benefit. And Malaysia telco is fighting is good for competition

QUOTE(Luffy1234 @ May 21 2017, 10:03 PM) So anyone changed to the U Mobile unlimited plan yet? The 10gb quota they give for tethering is tempting. However the speed cap they put makes it less tempting. At least with Webe I can now strean 1080p Youtube quite smoothly at times Nope not changing yet. Cause webe seems to be getting better and better on their services. UMobile on the other hand been longer in the business but their coverage still so so. |

QUOTE(ancnw @ May 25 2017, 04:16 PM) I think there are trying cause some of the neighborhood in Kuching reach like 20Mbps. This thread seems to be quite so it seems like webe hasn't had much issue with network. LOL |

QUOTE(miumiu1234 @ May 27 2017, 01:34 PM) Using mobile. I'm at Jalan Song too everyday it seems fine without any issue. Just don't expect the seed to be blazing fast but it's just enough to use daily. YouTube , Facebook without any issues. |
