QUOTE(jojolicia @ Mar 20 2017, 03:41 PM) Apparently not. The subline has to be upgraded to principal and also pay the full 158 minimum to qualify. But if it is any consolation, the newly upgraded principal can be grouped under the original principal account and be paid by the latter. Say in my case if I upgrade my subline it would be 158+158. |

QUOTE(Progineer @ Mar 21 2017, 08:59 AM) Consider it as forced savings. Plus, being PR, you still have the choice to leave the country and take this money with you. Not saying you should, but the option is there. You can choose not to apply PR for your sons now and ask them apply on their own terms after 21 under the 1st gen PR scheme.I would be more worried about having childre as PR. Since you still have to pay a higher rate and your male child will have to go through NS. If he doesnt, he will never be able to step foot inside sg again. |

From what I've heard, the choice to bump straight up to the max CPR contribution depends on your company since they will need to match up to the max too Someone please correct me if i'm wrong here |

QUOTE(Progineer @ Mar 21 2017, 11:19 AM) Lets say u already have existing male child before pr. U think gomen will grant you pr without the golden ticket aka your son? Ya they will, my parents' case, my brother got his PR on his own application after working. As long as you don't rip the PR's benefit for your children like cheaper education and healthcare then its fair for both side. Once you start enjoying his PR's benefit and revoke his PR when he is 18 to skip NS then no need to hope will grant PR or EP anymore.Doubt it. |

QUOTE(Progineer @ Mar 21 2017, 11:21 AM) Company max contribution is 17%. As long as you agreed with cpf, company have no choice, have to match. It is law. That is not what he asked, he is referring to the max 20%/17% right away after 1 first yearBesides, company also have incentive from gomen to push for max contribution. Instead of stepping up over 3 years I believe this is on agreement with the company, since the CPF law is 3 year step up |

QUOTE(fuifuiTan @ Mar 21 2017, 12:06 PM) need advice : yes it will and have a very very very high chance (like 95%) EP will reject by SG govt. last time my experience, i join a company for 1.5 months then quit then join a new company. Straight EP reject and company appeal, reject again and govt ask the company to write a letter to state why skill set / experience i have and why they are insisting to hire me.current working in a company with EP pass. being headhunt and about to resign and sign offer letter with a new company (A) but suddenly another MNC company (B) is coming in and might interest me. QUOTE(fuifuiTan @ Mar 21 2017, 03:26 PM) B is still in the final process of interview. (last round) I think you can still request B to submit for the EP application while postpone A offer letter submission. But since you're in the final process of interview, it will take some time and maybe A will retract their offer also while A already give me offer letter. Wanted to join B very much as position is higher and is a super famous MNC while A is just local company But always bear in mind that the job after B may be even harder to get EP approve. |

Actually I don't think it's that complex if you already start work at SG
Because the process when you change jobs under EP is 1) You have your existing EP at Company A 2) New Company B apply for new EP for you (you do not resign at Company A yet) 3) Once new EP approved, then only you resign In the even new EP is not approved, then just keep working at Company A I'm not sure why the other guy above resigned first before having his new EP approved...that's a risky move |

Oh I see, sorry I didn't notice the first line where you said you're on EP already right now
Yes the new company's EP application will go on while you still hold your old EP Old EP is only cancelled on your last day of work at the old company For your case, I think just delay the first offer kao kao while waiting for the second offer Won't reflect too well on you to join and leave within the first month (my opinion, some people might not care about that) |

That's not a problem
As I explained earlier you dont need to resign before they apply for a new EP for you, so nothing to lose even if MOM doesn't approve |

Yes
If company B cannot manage to get your EP approval, just stay with company A Same thing applies when you move to company A, only resign at your current company once they get your EP approved |
