QUOTE(fuifuiTan @ Mar 21 2017, 12:06 PM)
need advice :

current working in a company with EP pass.

being headhunt and about to resign and sign offer letter with a new company (A)

but suddenly another MNC company (B) is coming in and might interest me.
So wondering if i sign my offer with a new company (A) and the start my EP application.
then i resign in less then 1 week (A have to cancel my EP application) and join another company (B) (which also wll apply EP for me).

does it affect my EP application?
*
yes it will and have a very very very high chance (like 95%) EP will reject by SG govt. last time my experience, i join a company for 1.5 months then quit then join a new company. Straight EP reject and company appeal, reject again and govt ask the company to write a letter to state why skill set / experience i have and why they are insisting to hire me.

not the best experience, all those took 4 months to settle and 4 months being jobless is crazy for me.

wanna ask you guys on SPR buying HDB in Singapore but have properties in Malaysia.

Have you guys ever been questioned?
Will HDB take away the apartment if we have properties in Malaysia?
Is there a fine? and how much?

Same situation as yours. My parents are staying in a house under my name.  I  sold my house with S&P in hand. Is ready to explain to the officer that i have another house that my parents are staying..... the officer did not ask about any properties outside of singapore.....
*
so really in reality is that if they dont ask we dont need to declare.

plus i reckon there issnt a "database" they can cross check on anyway correct?

Just that if they see that you send back alot of monies to Malaysia then thats when the investigation starts. please correct me

I've heard of $100k penalty before. Someone owning property in Australia making false declaration. I think you have to answer some questions online regarding overseas property before buying a HDB. Either YES or NO answer, no such thing as don't declare. Making a false declaration can have dire consequences. smile.gif

Wow 100K penalty, thats crazy

I friend told me that even if i just transfer the property to my parents name is still doesnt count as dispose? is this true?

Hi All , do you surrender your EP card to ICA on PR formalities day? If yes, after surrender, ICA will issue a tempopary letter with new IC number ?
*
sorry i cant remember exactly but i think something along the lines, they issue you the "multi entry" paper for you first - which i stick behind my passport.

Hi all SG expat. What is the best way for fresh grad to seek a job in Singapore? How about agent and the agent fee?
*
Fresh grad - Jobstreet is your best friend but competition is high and SG govt always encourage companies to hire direct from the local universities here,

No agent in getting a job - dont get scam - even if you are talking about recruitment agencies, its the companies that pays them - not you as a jobseeker

Why register in MY? If you are in SG you’ll get it fast - by Q3 gov expect to vaccinate majority of population

Whereas in MY, Q3 only they’ll start my age group
*
Im those that travel daily in out SG so now im actually in Malaysia. Was wondering if register SG vaccine and when the time comes i think surely need to pay 2k sgd quarantine first then only get the jab or should we just wait for malaysia side which got chance Q3/Q4 or even next year for my age group/ common citizen biggrin.gif
