here is a tip from my very own experience.

apply jobs at job portals and search for offices located at Tuas / Jurong Island or anywhere remote/ulu.

companies situated at such places are quite far from town area but usually provides company transport.

cons
- far away from town
- need to wake up early
- if missed the company bus, need to take taxi to office (need to pay $$$ from own pocket)

pros
- sg citizen and pr usually will avoid to work at these places
- save money on transport (if stay near company bus pick up point)
- easier to be shortlisted for interview

technical test, 50 questions.managed to score 40 only 
face to face interview went really well..3 of my managers were there, only 1 interviewer.another 2 just stand next to the interviewer only.. lol

Hi sifus, I just got an offer for $4k in SME at Yishun Industrial Street 1. My question is, how much u can save if u're single with no commitment & not boros & opt to commute from JB? I wish to save money to move to NZ/OZ after 1 year.

Or shud I wait other offer 1st? bc i put my expected salary as $5k. still waiting words from two interviews and has one upcoming interview today. Thanks.

Take myself as an example similar to yours
Rental : S$700 (expensive! I know)
Food : <S$300
Transportation : <S$90
Daily Necessities : <S$90
Entertainment : <S$100
Monthly total expenses around S$1300 +-
You should be able to cut down on rental + entertainment, so S$1000 will do.

i dont drink & dont mind pasar food, but still i want single room bc i value my sleep time

I am still ok...normal weekday 9-6. weekend 100% not working.
This alone ady enough make me lose my point to live in this planet.
Even make a lot money and saving, I start to lose my point of living.
Even the oversea vacation, business trip do not make me love my life more.

I found out that to make me feel alive is to make myself more busy even OT but that is totally lifeless.

Walking out the office building, in front of me is nice skyscraper view that light up beautiful during night time.
On the way going home by bus, I looking out the window and start to wonder what is the meaning of my existence in this planet...

Most working class can afford to buy those item relatively easy due to the strong currency. Then end up grow dust and then found out why no money in bank one after working for so many years.

Hi guys, i am struggling between two options now.

I am drawing 8.5k MYR per month, work life balance, good boss, and friendly colleagues. (Got time to develop my apps and web-site, intent to start my own co. if there is a chance)

But recently, i got a SG job offering me 5.5k SGD, By the look of the director and the speed they process my job application. I think it will be a BIG NO work life balance + heavy workload.

I know the final decision is always lied on my hand but i would like to hear some opinions from the forumers here. Thank you.

Hi guys i had a offer as PO Cisco officer so my salary $800 basic without OT and they told if OT can earn around $1700 is that true coz i dont know about the calculation so can anyone help me with this ?

but they say need work for 6 month and if need stop can give 1 month termination letter .

depends on position & Co. also. AFAIK banking front teller all get WP. even you previously SP/EP also downgrade. co. policy they said. i only know UOB & OCBC.
try to avoid that co. if you can. it got quite a bad record of working environment from what the officer told my GF.
$800 basic without OT is 
and yeah, this kind of job has alot of OT and very long hour of OT. can you handle it?
i'll try to ask more info for you, but put it as your last priority.

simple calculation of OT rate/hr based on $800 : [800/26days/8hr] x 1.5 = $5.76 per hr.
1700-800 = $900 OT / $5.76 = 156 hrs of OT / 26days = additonal 6 WHrs per day = 14 WHrs per day (15hrs including lunch)
