Technically EP holder also can’t drive non-SG car, no? Just that maybe slightly less enforced.

EP holder can. Done that for close to 10 years. Can’t keep car longer than 14 days at one go if not mistaken. Daily drive in and out no problem

Hope someone could help to answer below..thank you very much.

I have submitted SPC and e-filing or 2022.

Since i do not have any income in Msia, does it mean i can stop LHDN e-filing for 2023?

No. Despite 0 income, you still need to file. The alternative is to close your account. Else, LHDN will assume you still have income in MY and 'forgotten' to file. They will eventually send you a huge bill and force you to settle. How do they force you? - Blacklist with immigration. You can't leave the country until you pay up.

Hi all, I’ve just gotten my first paycheck, but I got some questions. So currently I have a DBS/POSB Payroll Account, and there’s DBS Remit to send money back to Malaysia. It advertises 0% fees, how true is that statement? If compared to wise how’s the fees/charges? Should I be transferring my money from DBS to Wise and then transfer through Wise for the best exchange rate/fees etc? Would appreciate any advice tongue.gif

I transfer from DBS to Maybank monthly. Rates is not great, but not too bad either. Yup, zero fee if you transfer a minimum of S500 per transaction.

The savings via Wise is too small for me to be bothered with. But Wise is fast - really fast.

If I started work in Singapore and never had LHDN account before should I do anything even? Never worked in Malaysia except for 3 months of internship RM500 per month like 10+ years ago

Thanks for replying! Interesting, Wise is faster than DBS’s advertised same day transfer? As currently I’m just transferring from DBS with PayLah! Or PayNow to my Wise and usually it arrives within a minute and not immediate. Interesting to hear that Wise’s speed is faster than DBS… how long does it take for your DBS to transfer over to MBB? For wise for me, it’s usually within minutes, and from Wise to MBB, it’s also within a few minutes after of transferring

Transfer in the morning, get it in the afternoon/evening. Trafer in the evening, get it next business day.

I was considering between Wise and CIMB few months back. Decided to go with CIMB, the rates are quite good, better than DBS. CIMB SG to CIMB MY no fee whatsoever. I did a comparison against Wise + transfer fee, IIRC, I think CIMB ended up giving me more MYR. It's instant also, like within a minute

I use Instarem for immediate transfer from SG to MY. At times, there's $5 bonus promo if you send $ within a certain period.

Hi,

I just got my SG PR approved. Do we need to undergo any medical check prior to our appointments? I havent receive the documents yet but is eager to know what should I prepare.

There is no check list given in ICA website, only to schedule an appointment.

Thanks all!

Congrats!
I wasn't required to go for a medical check up, but as mentioned above it may be different for each person

In my case, I went for the usual check up, xray, blood test. You will be receiving list of documents to fill up/ and the check list. Congratulation too!

Also, you may need to be physically in SG to register your vaccination with their clinic, prior to an appointment with the ICA for documents submission (physically). It will be stated in the checklist.

Just wondering what criteria they will use to determine if the applicant needs to go through medical check up.
