 I know can use Magisk but why can't they ship unrooted.  |

I'd agree to hold on till further update surface concerning this box. If it truly support Netflix Prime in uhd then I might invest in another Mecool since I've got some credit and points to burn.

True and the license has to be installed with special hardware before being sold or device brought back to manufacturer for updating. It cannot be included with an OTA update in future. I had the problem and I wasn't aware of this fix, but a couple of days ago I applied all available updates from the Play Store and now I can access the settings again.
