Alamak! box dying seasons. May be time to get a back-up box, for my KM8-pro, 912. Or maybe put this box as back-up.

Tempted on RK3399 box. Is it worth it?

I could be wrong.. But last I checked, I'm not a fan of that processor.. AMLogic is more open with their source code for devs to work with.

Installing TWRP just replaces your stock recovery, it's doesn't mess with your current OS (much). Seriously, like nothing significant except mostly to inform it's there and to be tapped into (if need be) by TWRP manager app. You can download TWRP versions directly from their official site. Other files you can get from the likes of xda and freaktab.. Specific Guidelines have already been posted. Then post you quoted was a guideline. The rest you should figure out on your own. If you can't, sorry to tell you. Then you've got absolutely zero business tinkering on that level. So Google, read up, watch a video or 2 and only proceed when you can predetermine the outcome (to some high degree of success) and be ready to accept a bricked device should you mess up. 

My box is T95Z plus 3/32gb
Done - 1) Boot to stock firmware recovery mode
Still fail to install custom rom using both side usb A male

Questions:
can i just install TWRP on stock rom 7.1.2?
please provide me link for downloading TWRP & guidance to install.

I am thinking to try android box, as a beginner which box that you all like to recommend? Perhaps its should be long lasty and stable?

I did surveyed some sites, I found H96 Max or X99 are quite good in terms of their specs (RK3399) but quite expensive too. While the other that I saw more cheaper like MX10, T95z and H96 Max (RK3328)

I really need your favor to advise me for the android box as well as the tv packages in the market?

After done twrp and magisk, manage to login astro go. i can browse the list of channels.
However the loading of channels seems keep on buffering or won't load. Anymore tweaking need to be done?

The problem is the astro go.apk version? Mine is 8.2.4
