hi...initially plan to buy evpad pro+, buy after do some survey, got seller say that evpad only can watch for few month then cannot watch anymore...he say better to buy his huawei tvbox and subscribe his live channel for yearly fee around rm2xx...he say live channel imposible can get free for life for those tvbox.....i m very confuse now...anyone can gv me advice?

Can happen. It's either a false positive from the app or the device is somewhat rooted but made hush. Depends if other apps report it's rooted too.

Mine's ATV version 2.00.19/a45e8d91. Tested a few live stations and all played flawlessly. Same with the regular android OS app version 13.38.50. It's the latest from the Play Store.

If normal Android OS version, I can watch Live shows but not ATV version.

But need to set up magisk to hide the root...

UPDATE

This box died last week . Switch ON but nuttin happens. Swap the power adapter, still the same. Can't be hdmi cable or adapter. No pin hole to do hard reset.

Its just blank. Have just submitted to GearBest to see if i could claim warranty for this box. I sold it to a friend before i got the Mecool. Anyway, hope can claim another box. What a pity!

Was a good trouble free, no lag, fast box until it died just like that.

Done - 1) Boot to stock firmware recovery mode
Still fail to install custom rom using both side usb A male

can i just install TWRP on stock rom 7.1.2?
please provide me link for downloading TWRP & guidance to install.

Happens.. RIP..

Installing TWRP just replaces your stock recovery, it's doesn't mess with your current OS (much). Seriously, like nothing significant except mostly to inform it's there and to be tapped into (if need be) by TWRP manager app. You can download TWRP versions directly from their official site. Other files you can get from the likes of xda and freaktab.. Specific Guidelines have already been posted. Then post you quoted was a guideline. The rest you should figure out on your own. If you can't, sorry to tell you. Then you've got absolutely zero business tinkering on that level. So Google, read up, watch a video or 2 and only proceed when you can predetermine the outcome (to some high degree of success) and be ready to accept a bricked device should you mess up.
