We all know death is inevitable. It will surely come. When? We have no idea, but come it will. As of now, I know that the death peak around 75 - 80 years old (based on our national mortality rate - Jabatan Statistik Negara)

Since we all know death will surely come, we have to ask ourselves why then do we study so hard? Work so hard for a living? Learn so many things? Taking delight in this and that while waiting for death to come to claim us? In the end our body will just be a rotting maggot filled carcass buried six feet under. Later on, that same body will turn into dust and then merge with the earth and nothing remains.

In a similar way, crash and crisis comes and go and this is a fact. Then ask ourselves honestly, why do we still invest knowing crisis and crash is inevitable?

Does the above article bring anything new to investors?

Crash and crisis happens every ten years, so we are told and shown the data by the author. However what the author conveniently left out is that after each crash, the market bounce back even stronger. Those who remain invested usually are rewarded for their holding power.

This always brings back my oft repeated mathematical formula: ROI is linearly related to Future Value, but time invested is exponentially related to Future Value. This is the incontrovertible truth. Remember it!
