Selina  wub.gif  wub.gif  wub.gif slow 'n' steady. Naik tak sebanyak, turun pun tak begitu gaya, mutu dan keunggulan.

Selina macam stagnant sahaja. Tak gerak atas selepas peristiwa nov-dec (Reits sell off). Tak gerak keatas banyak (neglible) tetapi turun lebih dari naik whistling.gif confused.gif

Just to demonstrate
Amasia Reits and Manulife Reits were (-) after the Nov-Dec selloff. Manulife starts becoming (+) in Januray while Amasia was still negative in Jan. Then Manulife became 3.8x% vs Amasia at 1.8x% by Feb. Now Manulife is at 1.9x% vs Amasia at 0.8x% Yes Manulife decline more but still it didn't go back to almost (-) territory.

Now if another round of selloff were to occur, Amasia would be in (-) territory while Manulife would be almost 0%

GF want higher rate than FD, I ask her sai lang to Affin Hwang Select Bond Fund, is it okay? No need customize also like Fundsupermart right ? Feel other funds just dragging Esther down. cool2.gif

Can I know what can happen to fixed income fund during market reset or big financial crisis (like the one during 2008)? I saw Esther's fund in 2008 doesn't sink much. hmm.gif

US interest rates. People expected the Federal Reserve to increase interest rate drastically which means bond become less attractive so massive selloff of bonds and reits occur.

on top of this i want to add a little caveat.

The entire reason for a diversified portfolio is for this sole reason. Do understand the mechanics of global economy. There will always be a trail of money, all you need to do is to understand where the money goes to in each chess piece move.

FED rate increases. People will naturally dump money from bonds and reits (safe haven vehicles) to pump into US via her currency, stocks, investments.

FED rate decreases. Capital flies out of US and people will return to bonds and reits esp in Asia.

so to minimize headache, we deploy a diversified portfolio to ensure a good nights sleep.

What you say above does not commensurate with the figure shown in FSM website leh?

At one month history, Selina >>> ManuReits, meaning somewhere in early Feb 2017
At three month history, Selina >>> ManuReits, meaning somewhere in early Dec 2016
At six month history, Selina >>> ManuReits, meaning somewhere in early Sep 2016

Ponzi 1.0 1 day change is 1.8%; kapchai pun lose ok

Sometimes fund of the month that FSM promotes is really timely. Glad I topped up ponzi 1.0 last month following FSM's buy call; 7.4% ROI since 3 Feb rclxm9.gif

This month's APEI buy call I'm still not so confident

The FSM staff said most of the rejected withdrawal is related to thumb prints not clear.
I had to practise many times at the FSM office.
